He asked if I hadn't received this item yet after I had stated I hadn't received them. :rolleyes: He said he would deal with it himself and it would probably be delivered on Wednesday by Royal Mail.

Can you ladies offer me some advice please?

I have very long, incredibly thick wavy hair which I have been straightening for years using some no make irons my hairdresser got for me. They are on the way out now and I need to replace them.

Im looking at 2 different straighteners. Wide GHD and Babylis Radience. My worry is my current straighteners have combs on them, as do the babylis, but the GHDs dont. I only need to wash my hair once or twice a week and my current irons can keep my hair straight all week and I'm worried that a lack of combs is going to lead to a lot more straightening.

Anyone have any experience of this?

Had the Babylis Radience, (took it back as it was faulty) I had been using my mums GHDs when I visited her until then. Trust me, the combs make very little if any difference- especially if your hair is thick.

I had several issues with the Babylis Radience, I found it very chunky which made it near impossible to get to the first inch on your head. I did not like the hissing noise, I know its the steamer working, but it doesn't ever turn off! (The noise that is, not the steamer). I also found that they were just too heavy to feel comfortable to use. I had to put them down several times whilst using them as I needed to rest my wrists! They did keep my hair straight for longer then cheaper brands (about 12 hours before some of the original kinks came back) but GHD do similar so they are no better then GHD from that stand point.

I know they have the 5 year warrenty and the GHD only have 2, but I do think the GHDs are worth it- thats my experience anyway and I have tried both.

My post arrived today and I wasn't surprised that the ghds didn't. I telephoned girlznight.co.uk and although it was engaged a few times I eventually got through at 12:40 pm. I spoke to Gerry Mc Guire again and he said they were investigating where my parcel went missing and he would phone me back today and he took my mobile telephone number. I asked what time they closed and he said 8pm.

I am tired of waiting on these ghds to arrive and of him supposedly going to phone me back so I am going to phone girlznight.co.uk now again. Is there anything I can do, apart from phoning them, to get what I have already paid for?

I phoned and spoke to Gerry Mc Guire again and he said they are still investigating where the ghds went. He said as it has went on long enough he is going to send a new set out with Fedex tomorrow morning and they will definitley be delivered on Friday 13th as it is next day delivery. I said Friday 13th lucky for some and he said it would be lucky for me. Typical of my luck I have to go out on Friday.

Just of the phone again to girlznight.co.uk, this time I spoke to Stephen who put Gerry Mc Guire on the phone. I said I had not received the email that he said yesterday he would send and he asked if I could hold on. He then came back to the phone about 4 minutes later and said he was in the warehouse could I continue to hold. He said the person he had asked to send it hadn't and they would be getting repremanded in the morning. He said he would send it in the morning himself because that would be the only to be sure it was done. He said he was sending a £20 gift in it for me and that Royal mail would deliver it on Saturday morning via their special delivery service!

He also said he would email me the link tomorrow and that he would personally phone me to let me know it had been dispatched. I asked him if they had found out where the original order had went and he said "Let's not get bogged down in that". I said I was only wondering because he had said yesterday that they were investigating it. He then said they hadn't found out anything yet.

Will the ghds arrive on Saturday? :mad:
