Youve got no chance of the nurse/doctor agreeing to have the assessment recorded.
Do you work for DWP/JC? How do you know that?
Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

Have you sold your soul to the devil?
  • i have researched this and have found info on people recording their assessment. How true it is i am not sure, but it's something i would also like to know more about.

I believe, in case of telephone conversation recording, only one person (you) have to know that you are recording though it would be nice to let the other party know and I have no problem disclosing it.

I don't see why you can't record the assesment. Say if you are in a meeting, someone else could take minutes/notes for you but if I'm on my own I'd find it difficult to answer and to transcribe.

I read somewhere you couldn't record it recently but I don't know where....I think you have to have specific equipment which Atos would have to approve beforehand...

I know when i recorded my uni lectures a couple of years ago I had to have permission to do so....

You can tape them. You just can't dislcose it to a 3rd party.

So in this case would be useless as you wouldn't be able to tell the DWP that the ATOS man said this or the meeting went as such...

To record a medical you need the doctors consent and

"The recording must be made by a professional operator, on equipment of a high standard, properly calibrated by a qualified engineer immediately prior to the recording being made. The equipment must have facility for reproduction so that a copy of the tape can be retained by all parties.

  • makes me laugh still how whenever you call a call centre about anything these days they tell you, you are being recorded. We cant go oh we dont like it as we'd never get to speak to anyone. Ha. But we cant do record our assessment for our case file.

Not so strict elsewhere. I was attending lectures at a university and loads of us were recording it and never had to ask for permission.

It's standard practice I believe as it's the lecturer's work and i presume that if you were to publish it then it could cause trouble.
