It has to be very small though to go as a standard sized letter. A CD in a slimline case in an A5 sized envelope (not jiffy) is the biggest you can go. A 30cm by 30cm piece of bubble wrap would be too big for even a large letter even though it would have a very low weight.

I kind of have an idea what it is in my head and have several here on my desk and they weigh between 2 -3 g . One of these could go (just) as a letter with a single piece of card backing. Obviously I might be wrong, but the category and weight fitted.
