Can you upgrade a regular Halifax current account to a reward one online? I see you can turn it into an Ultimate Reward one, but not the standard reward account.0
-
No, but it can be done in branch or with a phonecall0

It's been a while ...... but I think you have to 'phone to do that. But it's as painless as any call to Halifax is .... as the account number remains therefore cheque book / card / DDs etc all remain untroubled. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0

I have a question but I'm not sure that this has been clearly answered already. If the credit to the account must equal £1000 over the entire month, is it possible to transfer £250 in then out and so on 4 times if you don't have £1000 available? Would that mean you would still get the £5? Or must £1000 total be in the account for a certain amount of time (no matter how small)0

Yes, that is fine. As long as credits total £1000 for the month.0

Hi All,
I have a question on the Reward Current Account too.
If for some reason, you don't pay in £1000 in a month (eg: get paid less for that month) clearly you won't be given the £5, but is there anything else that would come of it? Would they charge you for not putting in £1k?2019 will be my year!!0 -
If you dont pay in the £1000 you just dont get the £5 reward for that month, no fee.
(if you only got paid ~£600 in the month, there is nothing stopping you withdrawing £400 and paying it back in your account, this would meet the £1000 for the month)

The terms and conditions have recently been updated to say that "Reward Current Accounts opened after 6th December 2009 must be funded with at least £1,000 per calendar month." Not sure what would happen if you failed to do so though.0 -
Couldn't find anything in the t&c's about what happens if you dont deposit £1k per month other than you dont get the £5 reward.5/10/12 : Mortgage Free0
