That will be me. I found a penny today and got excited:o
My kids search for coins too / from school. My ds (3) finds loads and shares with DD(5) who normally doesn't find them they put these in their own money tin and when they got enough I swap it for 50p (the change is put in mine / oh change jar) - They go to the shop and buy a treat.
They get very excited about finding coins, once my ds got his coin stolen at school and when I went to pick him up he scream the place down about it, so now he gives them to me to keep until he gets home.Erm.......MSE is actually my homepage!!! LOL I guess I am converted to the church of Moneysaving!!:D
The old style forum is mine!
I'm sat at the moment with laptop on my lap to keep warm.0 -
when you reguarly wear odd socks with holes in them and you are nol onger embarrassed ."if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

You head straight for the reduced aisle of the shop :rotfl:
My monthly shop in Sainsburys always starts with a speedy zip around the reduced sections in the store before I start the "proper shopping"...Got it down to a fine art now - In the door, straight down the fruit section, pause to scan reduced fruit and veg shelves, then turn right, straight down the middle of the store, sharp turn to the left for the chilled reductions, then sharp right again, down to the bakery...all at something resembling a gallop...while OH tries to pretend he's not with me :rotfl:DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
That will be me. I found a penny today and got excited:o
I found 3p all in pennys at the bus stop but my friend and her daughter wanted one, her daughter had already took a penny off me I dropped, she's only 4, but that's not the point:rotfl:
Another day with the same friend we found 19p in change scattered all over the pavement, God only knows what we looked like driving all over the path for the pennys lol. But WHY chuck all that change away?
When I normaly find pennys if I find more than one I'll pass the other to a person if am with one....share the good luck!
I'm always finding change and never walk past if I notice them.Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:0 -
When I always pick money up off the floor.
When I go and look at the whoopsies (also been trick by morrisons lol)
When I use my tea bag at least twice (unless I share it with my friend/s or hubby)
When I get excited if I go to my mother's and she gives me shampoo, bubble bath, ect cause she doesn't like it. or even when she picks up whoopised bits for me:p
When I never waste food and if it does it's went in the dog
Resuse everything you can, never waste anything.
turn all bottles upside down to get every little bit out, then rince the bottle out to make sure.
Do I really need or do I want it?
(Here's a biggy for me) My car needs a new exhaust since just before Christmas and we've managed to take the bus or walk, to work, shops, (haven't visited family yet but haven't managed before), and now thinking can I really do without the car now seems I've managed this long with out?
If I don't go food shopping I get it delivered cheaper than getting the bus and using a taxi if I have to.
Hahaha use old birthday, christmas cards and anything with a blank back for writing notes, shopping list etc.
Could go on but don't want to bore you allGrocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03

when your depressed thinking what money may be buried under the snow and ice i'm walking on and missing out on
when the only time you charge my mobile is at work to save on electric (and the attached to the pc)
when you take a calculator shopping to check the prices per kg are right (and the confusing changes with bogofs etc)
you pack your shopping in 6 reusable bags when you know it'd have gone in 4 at sainsburys for the extra nectar points (does make it easier to carry is my excuse)
when you wear various odd socks under a matching pair to keep feet warm
save all brightly coloured envelopes from xmas for shopping lists and ask relatives to save them for you (this is a) money saving and b)then i can spot them in my handbag)0 -
