Cancelling Orange Contract
Hi,
I have an Orange contract phone which runs to August 9th that I want to cancel at the end of January. This means that I will have to 'buy out' 6months 9days of my contract.
I phoned customer service and requested the £10/month data plan but the guy said this was no longer available. He did ask me if I was a dealer to which I said no - apparently this plan is still available to dealers. He said the cheapest option was to change to YourPlan120 at £15/month then buy out the remainder of the contract. Do any MoneySavers have a better/cheaper way of doing this?
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks,
D.

There's an Orange Value Promise equivalent to T-Mobile plan called "Freetime 750" which is £13.99 per month. You get 750 off-peak minutes per month and 50 texts. Just let the contract run until it's end and use up the minutes and texts.

The guy you spoke to at Orange was incorrect in saying the cheapest option was to change to Your Plan 120 for £15 per month. Its not currently possible to change to YourPlan 120 for £15 per month but you can for £25 per month.
The £15 per month plan is for new connections to Orange and must be connected through the website or by phone.
Ask him for the T-Mobile FreeTime 750 OVP Plan as this will be the cheapest.0
