Unless you really want them to be formatted in a specific way, you can print them straight from here.

If you look on the top right hand corner of each individual post, you'll see a # and a number. eg #10 if you click on this it opens just that post in a seperate window so you can print just that one post rather than the whole thread.

    Hope that helps.

I only print the ones I'm going to make that week for sure! Otherwise I'd have hundreds of printed recipes.

The collections are safe enough as they are and they're actually easier to skim and search on line than when in my book.

Plus you can simply type a couple of ingredients into the search box when in the Recipe Thread (not the index) and get a list of all the recipes with those ingredients in...

  • The contents of my storecupboard would probably fill a corner shop :rotfl:

Only joking, but I do seem to have accumulated rather a lot of stuff but then I cook a lot of foreign food when I'm in the mood so like to keep basic essentials for all that in stock too! Which reminds me, I've just discovered I've run out of turmeric after placing my spices order :wall: so I'm now going to have to send DS to the local Coop and pay a small fortune for one of those little Schwartz jars

Nooooo! they charge a fortune! Have you a local asian shop - look for 'Haldi'

BTW where do you order your spices from? online?

Nearest Asian shop is around 20 miles away so it's basically the Coop or Budgens, and the Coop does tend to be slightly cheaper, assuming they have it in stock!

I use a few online sources depending what it is I'm buying, but Redmoor is one of my favourites and I tend to use them for bulk orders so I get the free delivery ;)

That site looks good, will have to give it a try (might have to add a bar or 2 of Green Blacks to take the order up to free delivery level) :) Seasoned Pioneers is also fantastic - especially for spice blends like Ras el Hanout (did you see that Foreign Legion Lamb thing Rick Stein did last night, yum!) they also do a really good mulled wine mix. I also like their little resealable foil pouches as it keeps the spices fresh. :)http://www.seasonedpioneers.co.uk/

  • My top tip for stocking up store cupboard essentials is to start small and build up. Plan your meals for a few days before you get your shopping then get a couple of bits each time. Then you'll see which ones you use and can build on that, rather than shelling out a fortune on flour, dried pulses, spices and herbs, only for them to sit there unused.

I couldn't manage without the following in my fridge (aside from the store cupboard essentials)

    pitted black olives
    jalapinos
    milk
selection of cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan)
    brown sauce
    hendersons relish
    capers
    butter
    margerine
    tahini
    mango chutney
    lime pickle
    jam
    garlic
    assorted vegetables
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
