Blacklisting of successful "cashbackers"?

As I'm now ending a 12-month 100%-free cashback contract, which I've successfully claimed for all the amounts due, I applied recently for a new cashback deal (from the same internet retailer, as this was the most suitable deal going).

Apart from the initial acknowledgement email I've heard nothing back after several days; the order isn't tracking on their site (ie apparently it doesn't 'exist' within my account); they are ignoring chasing emails and I can't get through on the phone to talk.

I'm wondering whether it's possible that I'm being given the cold shoulder because they know I'm very likely to again claw back all their profit via cashbacks (and if so they are 100% right!)? Is this likely? It's a right PITA as with no information, I don't know whether this deal will materialise or not, and in any case it's by far the best one around.

Not naming the company here (yet) other than to say they are CPW-owned so I'd have hoped would be more reliable than some?

Well, Ericthelobster, looks like you have caught a crab here!

Chances are it is down to their poor admin (guesses for which CPW company on a postcard, please).

I don't think that successful cash backs (or maybe in your case, clawbacks?) in the past would disqualify you for the future - certainly MJ has a long history of cashback success and doesn't seem to be being penalised. Even when they are forced to shell out (ouch!)

I would give it one more go and if not, there are lots of other companies around. Remember, it has been the festive season and they may have had staff on holiday.

    Happy New Year!

    Hi Eric,
Thats the problem I'm afraid ...if they are owned by CPW they are the most unreliable.
Sounds like the standard practice of them ;)

"Reliable" and all cpw companies are a laughable mix. I don't think people are generally penalised because they are successfull at cashbacks in the past (even on a grand scale...). If there is no record on the site it sounds like the order was never confirmed for some reason. Even if it was, cpw companies don't always honour the deals they offer. I have been left in limbo after ordering on more than one occasion by them. They should confrim an order (at least) as soon as you make one, so if no confirmation, no order!
