mmmm... tough one
Heavy snow here overnight, I attempted to get my car out and then texted my boss @ 7.30am to say I wouldn't be in. Not looking hopeful for tomorrow either, still snowing here. He has been fine about it, I think the fact that I attempted it - and the national news reports helped! I have along commute so my office has different weather conditions - and looks like everybody else made it in
Yeah, I commute around 45 miles (20-odd each way) so where they are the weather is due to be better than here. I sent her a link to the met office and have had no reply - not even an acknowledgement of my email.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -

well, I just had the journey from hell..No internet at home so got sledge out put laptop and work on sledge, walked to childminders (getting lost cos the roads, paths and cycle paths all looked the same in the snow).
SIL drove to childminders picked me and chloe up and drove to DD's took 2 hours to do 2 miles....cars backed up on every road imaginable. Actually saw a snow plough AND a gritter (bit like shutting the door after the horse has bolted)
DD2 is currently walking from college (about two hours) to a friends house.
I am staying at DD1's until the snow clears.....i have internet, beers and a shop across the road....I would have had to be institutionalised by tonight if I had had to stay on my 'own' at home...

Lounge and wee house now restored to normality.
Seriously thinking about bringing the house I was working on before I moved into the house to carry on with . I have room for it now I have swopped the dining room and study. Would give me something to do.0 -
