    Hi folks just a quickie.

If you have snow and elderly or disabled neighbours can you pop round for 2 minutes to check they are okay? Health and social care workers are doing their best to get to everyone in need but i'm sure they will appreciate a freindly face.

    Stay safe

No, no choice at all Pap :D

Gemmzie, it cant be helped hun. You need an op, and you need to recover. If you rush back, more damage could be done and you will be off longer in the long run ;)

they can't make you be in trouble for that Gemmz. Please don't worry about it. They will cover it all. We've had someone of from our team for 7 months now on sick leave and a minimum of 2 more and we've got through it all.

There's only the two of us though, no-one else can cover it. I just hate making people angry :o
Awww Gem thats not your fault! If you need an op you need it, they dont decide these things because it gives them something to do. If you hand is that bad you need to have the op and recover fully from it. I guess if you start typeing/driving/using it you could undo all the work they did to it. Just because someone may have to do your job/they may have to find cover is not your problem, neither should you feel bad about it.
I mean my boss is off after having an op and us p/t people just pick up all his work as and when its needed. Its called team work ;) Please dont worry yourself they should understand :D

Yeah that's what he said, I need total rest and to be honest, last time it was in a cast I was so drained I slept for four days.

It's the smaller of two ops I need this year too :o

At the end of the day Gemmz, I've learnt that nobody ever gets a medal for being at work, however well they do their job. Time goes on and stuff like sick leave is forgotten with a shrug of the shoulders, however much time people have off. People leave, new people come along, think of all the places you've worked where people have been off sick. Things carry on and a few months down the line it is completely forgotten. (saying that, I'm the worst at ever admitting I need to be off sick!!)

They won't be angry with you, they may feel a bit inconvenienced at stuff being shuffled round, but that's their issue.

You are more important than how they feel about you needing an operation.

Cat - I agree - there used to a be component on my course for attendance - which sounds mad but with performace if people are off regularly then it puts a proper spanner in things!

I used to go mad at anyone treating uni like a holiday camp - party all you want, but dont ruin my chances of getting a good grade ;)

You arnt making people angry, their own situation and attitude is making them angry. You cant deal with others emotons Gem. What if the shoe was on the other foot and you had to cover for them? I guess you would just get on with it

Well there you go if the docs say you need the time off you ned it. If you will be no use to them in work anyways they wont want you there. Please stop feeling bad you have done nothing worng _hug__by_bad_blood.gif

Okay - sorry to change the subject, but was watching Corrie last night and was amazed by the stupid storyline surrounding Joe and the debt collector trying to reclaim money. Some people take Corrie seriously (some TOO seriously). So why are the idiot writers trying to give viewers the impression that debt collectors can burst into debtor's homes, threaten them, assault them and make threats against their families? Not to mention the fact that they are ignoring the fact that debtors have rights. I know the storyline probably wouldn't be the same, but then again this is just another case of some idiot writers creating a storyline based around something they clearly know nothing about!

I mean, legally, Joe probably could have decked that idiot for forced entry into his home!

But more worrying - why is there no message at the conclusion of the episode? You the the sort - "if you or anyone else have been affected by....." etc?

Don't watch corrie but... did Joe borrow from lcoal area loan sharks? They're the type to use intimidation, threats and violence to reclaim a debt!
