okay , ill try again after typing my reply and losing it on last word

The weather is abysmal here, even the main roads are a struggle unless you drive a 4x4 and can pull stupid stunts without thinking of others (sorry rant) . HQ 200 yards from my base has been closed as directors / managers/ office based staff can't get in . Community staff have been told they must get in or will lose pay , can't take holiday even if they are stranded (rant again , noticing a theme today ?)

Have checked online banking, looking good. Cretin that burgled me in july (and got caught , well done police) has increased his monthly compensation payment so it is now useful and not just a token payment.
Should have enough money at end of month to pay extra on credit card/save towards car tax/save toward dd birthday.

Post came early today despite weather. Got a nice cheque from insurance that i didn't think i would get. That will also go to CC. Pay in bank Thurs hopefully.

Will do any online surveys I can , not getting many but have built up 52,000 points with toluna in 3 weeks.

Will do some online competitions and check for freebies.

Doubt asda will delivar tonight but storecupboard not bad, will turn dodgy looking parsnips into soup. will walk to corner shop and pick up milk and bread that i really need.

Have ordered folding shovel for carboot off ebay - prices have gone up since bad weather started ;). looks like this weather is set in and have to travel to some difficult places so want to be prepared.

Will look in earnest for a job out of the community - though all jobs in my field are few and far between at the moment , plenty of jobs for senior managers though .

Hmm think i definatley need to relax tonight as it will be an early morning clearing snow again - more severe weather warnings.

Stay safe everyone and check your elderly neighbours please :snow_laug

    Hello all
Cold here and had a smattering of snow - not enough to make DS's happy or off school!

    Today I have
    • feasted on HM bread made last night
    • made jelly for tea
    • cooked rice to make chinese leftover surprise also for tea
    • making bread again for breadcrumbs to make empress pudding for tomorrow ( all this cold weather makes me want pudding obviously)
    • found £4 in coat pocket ( most unusual - OH must have borrowed it!)
    • keeping all internal doors shut to stop draughts and trying to stay in one room
    • will read library book on overeating - note to self , not compatible with so many puddings!
    • read online newspaper
    • check bank - as expected but not a source of great joy!
    • not use car as suspect DS1's footy training wil be cancelled - just looked out of window and snow is now quite heavy!
    • Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!
    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.
