noooo must not!!!!! This money saving lark is hard isn't it. I'm sooo hungry.
I'm having to be organised, literally have petrol money for the month and about £20 for food but that is it, have had to be frank with OH about having no money what so ever and he's been ok, he's broke too bless him.
Will post my meal plan in a bit and see if I can give you some ideas for next week, what are you doing for this week hun, any ideas that arent lasagne or shepherds pie would be most welcome0 -

That's one of them (with garlic bread), ha! Gonna try making it with turkey mince though, not sure how that'll work out. The others are quite boring but using up stuff I've got in fridge/just bought:
Tonight - smoked haddock, baked sweet potato, corn on the cob and peas, was very tasty.
Tomorrow - chicken fillet in shake & bake (a breadcrumb coating), corn on the cob/veg and salad potatoes
Thurs - Sweet Potato Mash, Cabbage and Grilled Chicken
Fri - Lasagna
That's as far as I've got, any ideas will be greatly appreciated
Well done on the star!0 -

OK here is my much promised list in my cupboards and freezer I have:
lots of mince
lots of chicken breasts
7 beefburgers
12 fish fingers
2 portions of lasagne
4 portions of chilli
2 shepherds pie
4 pieces of fish
1 and a half pkts of prawns
4 portions of bolognaise
8 sausages
3 tins of tomatoes
tin of beans
potatoes
onions
3 pork chops
fajita kit
5 tins of tuna
thai green curry paste
coconut milk
lots of spices
rice
porridge oats
tons of bread flour
big block of cheese
lots of ham
margerine
pasta
risotto rice
a few frozen peas
frozen broadbeans
Frozen sprouts
we also have lots of cereal for breakfast, crisps and chocolate biscuits etc for lunches
so from this, I'm going to make, not in any sort of order, easier to pick and choose:
burgers and wedges
chicken pie and potatoes and frozen veg
sausages and mash
lasagne and garlic bread
thai green curry and rice
shep pie
fish fingers, chips and bread
pork chops frozen veg and potatoes
mince and onion pie, mash and frozen veg
toad in the hole with potatoes and frozen veg
curry rice and flat breads
lasagne and garlic bread
prawn and chicken risotto
fish pie
shep pie
fish cakes and wedges and beans
fajitas
pizza and wedges
carbonara
risotto
bolognaise with pasta
chillie and rice
I only need 23 dinners as OH is away til friday and I've got soup til then
I'm going to have to make everything from scratch apart from the dinners already made in the freezer that were in the freezer inventory though  including all the bread and pizza etc. I get the feeling I'm going to be rather busy!!
OH will have hm bread sandwiches with cheese, ham or tuna with crisps and a chocce biscuits for lunches
Will also have to make some of hobnobs as OH likes to have them with his morning coffee, and they are cheap and easy to make so I don't mind, really trying to make this as normal as possible so that OH doesn't feel like his missing out and feels the need to go shopping and spend a fortune we haven't got, men hey
So the only things I think I'll need to buy are:
eggs and bacon (OH's breakfast treat for the weekend , will be tesco value , :shhh: don't tell OH)
Bread flour
more cheese
milk
orange juice
peppers
brown sauce
frozen peas
think I can do that for under £20
Sorry for the mammoth post
