Leeds city council are dreadful

I doubt any of it would hold up in court, how could someone prove you were responsible for clearing the pavement outside your house.Without photographic evidence its a no goer.I do not expect my local council to grit the pavements as long as they grit the roads thats all i ask.
Not really, if all of the other parts of the pavement were under 6 inches of snow but one was clear and therefore had iced over, then it's not exactly difficult to work out that the householder has cleared it.
I think you are underestimating the scale of the issue. It is certainly the reason that I don't clear in front of my house, and I am sure the same goes for many, many others.0 -
It still dosent prove you are responsible for clearing it.I still think less people than you think have not cleared their paths/pavements for the reason you say.0

Leeds City Council announced yesterday that they only had enough grit/salt to do the major roads now. I think we got the first snow here around the 17th December. I have travelled most areas of Leeds since then and not seen a single minor road gritted. They have only been gritting the major routes anyway - unless someone can tell me different?Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0
