Condensation in car

My wife's VW Polo suffers from acute condensation whatever the weather. Sometimes the seats are actually damp when she gets in it.
Is there an easy remedy to this ?
Interesting , i bought a nearly new vw polo earlier this year and am having shocking condensation problems also. The windscreen was actually frozen on the inside the other day so bad that turning the heater on wouldn't shift it. Probably shouldn't have done this but i sprayed de - icer inside the car - i don't get on with my boss and if i'd been just a few minutes late i would have been in the office !
I'm looking at getting it into the dealer but its difficut with my hours and being a woman they'll try and fob me off. This happened with my last car , i told them there was something wrong and they said i was probably worrying about nothing but they woud look at it - turned out to be a major manufacturing fault with the engine and it wasn't safe to drive ! Thank god for warranties.
Will see what its like when its a bit dryer and not take no for an answer. When it rains look for RainbowsWhen its Dark look for Stars0 -
Baby car used to have a problem with condensation, but then I turned the air flow switch thingy so it got outside air and not recirculation and now it's better

And if I have to wipe the windscreen I never ever leave wet dusters in the car. I even took one to the pub with me once.
This is a very good remedy. My partner has the new toyota yaris and this suffered also. By switching off recirculation, this solved the problem. You need to have outside air come in.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

Make sure your cooling is set to Fresh and not Recirculate. Run the fans all the time and use the temperature control / AC to control the desired temp. More people in the car means you need more air and a faster fan speed.
If you're going to be sitting in the car for a while before getting out, make sure you keep running the heater/cooler til you leave. This will reduce condensation and your windows will be clear next time you get in the car. You won't need to wipe the inside of your windows again.0 -
Thanks for all the advice and help.0

My car was quite bad when I bought it. I think it had been standing waiting to be sold for a while. Wiping the windows down with a cloth, then taking the cloth OUT of the car to dry off, and leaving the windows open for a couple of days sorted it.0
