Condensation in car

If it's in warranty take it back to the garage.
But first check the air recirculation switch is off and fresh air is entering the car, if the car has a sunroof check the drain holes and lastly check the door seals. The man without a signature.0 -
check all carpeting to see if you have water ingress anywhere and as above. If its a leak there is no easy rememdy as firstly you have to find where the actual leak isEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

Assuming no leaks get the windows open as much as possible (create air flow) and on sunny days open all the doors and air the car.
Weather dependent of course.0 -
If you've got air-con keep that on, it cools the air down so the water condenses out of it instead of on your windows. It's the only way i can keep my Ibiza clear.0

My van is shocking but hey what can you do eh, just got to do what i can, air con going with window down a bit. I find the closer you are to the windscreen the worse it is.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

you tread the water in on your feet and breathing etc
but how do you let it out?
You need the windows open at some point to let it out
However from my experiance of VW it is probably a leaking seal somewhere0 -
Dont have a chip in the windscreen do you?Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Couple of moisture traps at floor level (as sold for dealing with condensation in the home) - one in front, one in the back left in the car when it's not in use works well at this time of year.0

One thing to point out in this weather is that the a/c on most cars will automatically switch off when the ambient temperature is less than 1 degree C. This is to prevent ice entering the compressor. Your a/c light/telltale may still be on but it won't be working. The man without a signature.0

Baby car used to have a problem with condensation, but then I turned the air flow switch thingy so it got outside air and not recirculation and now it's better

And if I have to wipe the windscreen I never ever leave wet dusters in the car. I even took one to the pub with me once.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
