Sky Query

Hi, long story short I have recently left my partner & we were (in my name) 3 months into a Sky phone & broadband 12 month contract. I have called & emailed them to explain the situation behind why I need to cancel these services, and am currently waiting on an email response.

Has anyone gone through a similar situation & could tell me what you were charged, or if the charge was reduced at all for you - it would be much appreciated.

Sky will take it to the wall I'm afraid. They will charge you for the full contract.

Could you partner not take over the contract, Does he still live in the property

well, why couldnt he just keep paying the bill as it came in and say nothing to SKY, this way 2 monthly bills are going to dropping through the same letterbox.

  • He says you can't have broadband & phone without some sort of TV package on the account as well

I dont understand, yes, hes right, you do have to have a tv package,

but you said in your first post you had SKy phone and broadband so i presumed you had the whole SKY package.

  • Yes, but the TV package is over 12 months old & can be cancelled without problem; and as he now has his own Sky account for TV neither of us will be using my TV subscription.
  • Are you able to move the remainder of the contract to another location ?

If so, and you have helpful friends, you might be able to move it to another address for the remainder of the term.
