It really is a great forum Smashedsanny - but as a 'new girl' not wise to come in and lambaste groups of people who contribute to this country as well - you may not like us being here, but no reason to lambaste a whole group of people....remember you need us0 -

Hi smashedsanny,
Everyone is equally entitled to an opinion on this forum!
This official MSE discussion is about reporting changes in circumstances for people who *are* or *have been* or *could be* entitled (whether or not people think they should be is a different discussion and should be raised in Discussion Time).Torgwen.....................

It is regularly stated on correspondence that people should inform the benefits agency of changes in circumstances, so isn't really 'new' news, but they could be having an advertising push on this to remind people again.
It's surprising how many people end up in arrears for failing to report changes, so this is something that needs to be remembered. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
non of this is new and its not news and it is in the wrong place,it will descend into a free for all which isnt what the benefits forum is for, were any of us to post something like this it would have been moved pdq to dt.0

Title to this thread
"Westminster is asking those who receive state help to inform it of changes in circumstances so they're paid correctly ..."
I replied to this
Don’t you think its funny at the MP's have been caught fiddling there expenses that now they are clamping down on the people who put them there,
To which I was met with sarcasm
I will explain it says on benefit forms let us know of any changes, they expect the client to be honest, just like some MP’s were(NOT)
AnxiousMum I said also why not tackle the people who are not from the uk first who should not be in receipt of benefit in any way shape or form, ie free dentist doctor hospital schooling.
If you noticed I said should not
I have no problem with anyone coming to the uk and working, that are legal, and in turn legally entitled to such benefits, I hope you enjoy your time here, My sister is in Ohio just now for 3 year, and my two bother’s in law are in south Africa, and Abu Dhabi
I also said “if the government had not made as many cut backs in the departments things like this would be harder to slip through”
And this year they are cutting back yet again and you have to apply on line for some benefits, which leaves it open to more abuse. And more people out of jobs.
I hope this clears a few things up
Nembot pipkin71 I agree with your thinking0 -
GOING OFF-TOPIC
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: While it’s easy to wander off-topic that often prevents newbies finding the information they want quickly and easily (please see this rule). Please keep this thread on topic. If you’d like to discuss non-MoneySaving related topics please continue your discussion in The MoneySavers Arms or Discussion Time. :rotfl:That's just so funny it's such a shame each dept don't communicate with each other! People tell the JCP etc of changes in circumstances but they still don't get it right!
For example the CWP fiasco that's happening at the moment, many people will be loosing out because of this.
