Board guides please don't merge this with the thread ongoing as I fear it may get lost amongst it all.
The JCP computers do not register that you get CA for your child and parents are loosing out on CWP.
For example I get CA and a carers premium on IS, I also get a disability premium on CTC but they say they don't know who I get carers for  and because of this they say I am not eligible for a CWP, I am disputing this waiting for a phonecall tomorrow.
They may fob you off and tell you to contact DLA, tax credits don't let this happen as this has nothing to do with either of these departments.
Phone your local BDC if they still disagree write a letter to them and make sure you get them to check previous years.
E2A:
You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:

Hi, am I entitled to Cold weather payment? I get DLA Mobility high rate, Care low rate, Incapacity benefit and Industrial Injuries benefit. I also get some Council tax and housing benefit.

Hi
Can you please advise me if we are entitled to CWP.
My son aged 5 is disabled and receives middle rate care (DLA) and we receive disability premium along with the child tax credits for him
We do not receive any income support or " income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase" although I do receive carer's allowance for my son.
Thanks in advance0 -
We get extra tax credits for me being disabled on HRCA but no CWP.0
