Can I Put An Orange Sim Into An Unlocked IPhone

Hi,
i bought a phone last year under a two year contract, one year later and i hate the phone and i am desparate for a new one but paying off the rest of the contaract would be too expensive.
I want an iPhone and if i buy an unlocked one on ebay would i be able to put my orange sim into it.
And if i can will i still be able to get on Safari free using WiFi if my orange contract does not come with the net.

I'm a screwup and i plan to stay a screwup until my late twenties.. possivly even early thirties amd i'll shag my own mother before i let anyone take that away from me! :T

wifi - yes
..and phone Orange and add a data bundle to your plan.. then you can surf t'internet on the move. Just google for the Orange APN settings.
