I wear make up for work... in fact I don't ever really leave the house without it. I don't wear loads and keep it all natural for work - I'm a less is more kinda girl- I hate to see REALLY caked on make up especially when someone chooses the wrong shade of foundation and it goes orangey. However I'll admit wearing makeup makes me feel more comfortable and confident.
I had a problem with my skin when I was PG and didn't wear make up for a few months.... I felt rubbish. I have quite a dull complexion and it's very uneven- if I had olive skin or flawless skin tone i wouldn't wear foundation but not everyones that lucky I guess.

I wear a full face of make up everyday (not over the top!). I think it's all a part of looking smart for work, and as a teacher I have to deal with people every day.
I actually find it quite shocking how many other female teachers go to work bare faced without even a touch of foundation or mascara, I think it smacks of not making an effort.
Obviously it's different if you are not in a 'people facing' job or if you are going to get smudged and sweaty but I must admit personally I'd probably still wear it!
I also enjoy the whole make up thing!

I agree with the above posts. I hardly ever go out without some make-up on. I don't go to work until later in the day so I tend usually not to put it on until the time has come for me to go out somewhere however(shopping/work etc)

I need a natural look for work, foundation, Mac creme blusher, eye pencil, mascara, lip gloss.

Love to play around a bit more for evening, with eye colours and false lashes especially. I do wish I could master liquid eye-liner, I'd love 'flicks'!

In the summer with a tan, I'll add a touch of tinted moisturiser instead of foundation where needed.

I love wearing make-up. It's fun and makes me feel better! As I've got older, I've tried to be more careful about my choices of products and how they are applied. I can wear quite a lot of make-up for a night out but the aim is to actually make it look like I'm not! A light touch with lovely light creme products for cheeks and eyes, reflective concealers, groomed tinted brows, clever foundations and glosses for lips are wonderfully anti-ageing.
  • i can't go to work without makeup, it'd seem very alien to me. i used to work front of house in a hotel and before that in customer service, so was always very conscious of my appearance - without fail i always wore concealer, mascara, eyeliner, and lipgloss. i've never really worn foundation/blusher for work because my skin's pretty good anyway and i've always had fairly hectic (like when i worked in retail and was up and down stairs every five minutes), so it would probably have slid off my face by lunchtime :rotfl:

My make up wearing also comes from working as Restaurant and banqueting manager for a prestigious chain of hotels and it was a case of being well groomed and apprearance did matter... a bright red glowing face from being in and out of the kitchen was never a great look  Nowadays I work in the NHS and don't feel I can really give advice looking rough hahaha

I wear the bear minimum, like the look of make up but not how it feels  I tend to use either tinted moisturiser or if I want little more coverage I use No 7 Intelligent Colour Foundation, really light coverage and feels velvety smooth and best of all it doesn't crease.

On my days off unless I am going out out I I never wear it, just some good moisturiser and go au natrurelle :p hubby used to ask me how come you make an effort for people at work but don't do it for me :rotfl:ahhhh bless!!!

I would not leave the house without make up, not under any circumstances.
If I could keep it on 24 hours a day I would.
I do wear a lot but natural looking, iysim.
I work with one lovely lady who can't be bothered with all the palava and another one like me who had her make up back on shortly after giving birth to her babies.

Do you feel prettier with your make up on Bella Wella?

Same here, full monty but natural looking.

Light foundation, loose powder, blusher/bronzer, mascara, eyeliner, eyebrow shadow & lip stick.

I wear a natural looking minimal make up for work. Usually a 3 in 1 powder foundation, mascara and the lip gloss, occasionally a bit of blusher or bronzer.

On the couple of occasions I've not had time to do my make up the way I usually do someone has asked me if I am ill or said I look ill so that was enough to make me wear it everyday ;)

  • Always to work but not a full face: concealer, powder, blusher, mascara and lipgloss. I sometimes add a little shadow and have just bought some new stuff so will be trying that out.

If i'm going out i always play heavy on the eyes and just gloss on the lips.
  • i love makeup but keep it natural looking for work. i think it makes me look more 'professional' and imo after a certain age it also has made me look better ;)

Yes every day for work. Don't always bother at weekends though.

If I don't I look ill ( can be useful occasionally:p) and a high level of grooming is expected.
