Work & Makeup

Do you wear makeup for work or go without?

This is going to sound incredibly paranoid, but I always wear it for work & would love not to! :o

yeah but just minimal, almost always mascara, maybe a bit of my bare minerals powder and a bit of liquid blusher if my skin is being stroppy. I'm too lazy to spend more than 5 minutes on make up in the morning!

I should also mention though that most of the girls I work with don't wear any so if you don't want to, I don't see why you should.

I wear a full face of make up for work every day.

I wear make-up to work. Nothing dramatic, foundation,. powder, brown eyeshadow, mascara, lip gloss. Sounds like a lot, but looks natural. Im the only woman in the office who wears make up. I dont know why all the others dont.

I wear the basics for work everyday - tinted moisturiser, a little eyeliner, mascara, blusher & lip gloss.

Most of the women in my office wear a little make-up every day but a few wear none at all and no comment is ever passed - each to their own.
  • I would not leave the house without make up, not under any circumstances.
If I could keep it on 24 hours a day I would.
I do wear a lot but natural looking, iysim.
I work with one lovely lady who can't be bothered with all the palava and another one like me who had her make up back on shortly after giving birth to her babies.

Do you feel prettier with your make up on Bella Wella?

I wear powder, blusher and mascara (which is pretty much the only make up I wear anyway, although at weekends I put tinted moisturiser on as well).

I wear minimal make up to one of my jobs as I have to deal with the public, but for my Sunday job I can look as scruffy and horrible as I like as it's on a farm...
I've never been too bothered about make up as I've got no idea about what suits me and perhaps I'm a bit lazy.

I work from home now but still wear make up eveyday as I'm in and out of the house, on the days I do stay in all day, no make up, when I worked outside of the home it was full make up eveyday and I took it with me to touch up if necessary.
Thank you for this site Martin

mac foundation, dolly girl eyeshadow and blusher, mac mascara and either mac or dolly girl lip gloss.I feel undressed when I'm not wearing it,part of my daily routine as much as cleaning my teeth is!
  • Very interesting to see the results, as it looks very mixed! From speaking to people around me, many don't.

I don't wear an awful lot, but I use a heavy foundation to cover up blemishes which isn't great for my skim 7 can cause breakouts. I also hate how it goes all funny on my face come lunchtime. I've tried many foundations to stop this, but nothing helps!

I'm thinking maybe a move to tinted moisturiser, but I have fairly pale skin & when used before, light moisturisers make me look orange! :o

IMO, this changes. When I'm at work, I guess it just makes me feel confident. At home, I don't put makeup on, even if I pop out to the supermarket. I don't see it as being essential then.
