Virgin removing free TV M package?

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody else had any information about this, as I cannot find it anywhere on the internet.

I've taken up the free 2 months TV XL offer that they sent to me in a letter, but the woman on the phone said to me 'you'll only be able to downgrade to TV M+' just as I was about to hang up and AFTER she had processed the free offer upgrade.

Now, this rang a few alarm bells so i've looked on their site and cannot find ANYWHERE where they offer their TV M service anymore - Virgin no longer offer a free TV service? And anyone taking up their offer will now have to pay £5.50 at least per month for their TV? Surely this is completely immoral and wrong, so maybe i've made a mistake.

Any help appreciated.

I was going to take up this offer but now you have me scared! although the channels you get for the M package are a bit rubbish and I was thinkin of downgrading to it afterwards anyway
