Sports Channels - tennis in particular

I'm about to leave Sky for good after some advice on this forum about the free TV channels available with digital TV from elsewhere. I'm going to go for a digi box setup. The only drawback is that several times a year I like to watch tennis tournaments:- Australian Open, French Open and so on. I looked on the free TV channel list and couldn't see a sports channel. BBC only cover one or two of the tournaments on their 'red button' option. Does anyone know of a free sports channel or at any rate a free tennis channel. Thanks.

I find British Eurosport shows most of the tennis tournaments around the world. Not sure if it's FTV though through all mediums?

If you were to get a motorised satellite dish, there is lots of tennis available.

If you subscribe to SkyHD, you get the EurosportHD channel, regardless of whether you subscribe to the other sport channels or not.

...apart from that, your only other options are to either get a motorised satellite dish (which will allow you to receive 'thousands' of free-to-air continental channels), or wait for Wimbledon.

UK free-to-air TV channels are fine for repeats and adverts, but IMO you need to be prepared to pay a few quid if want to watch specialist programmes or specific live sports.
