  • Hi Budgie, my darling.

Well done on starting a new diary I am sure it will help to keep you focused.

Losing weight is also one of goals for 2010 as I too need to lose about a stone. :o

You will be excellent in a volunteering role as you are one of the most kind and caring people I have met (virtually).

    Good luck. sweetie.

I will be following with interest.

    love

    Yes I know ;)
Whenever I listen to this I feel I should be in an open topped sports car, driving down a coastal road with the wind blowing my hair. Freedom, who knows one fine day?

40sm Hiya hunny, thankyou for popping by :D Re the weight thing I feel so cross with myself I lost a lot of weight but have now but a stone back on. Totally due to having a lazy attitude and not watching what I was eating and drinking. Still its come off before and hey it will come off again. ;) Btw did you not say that you wanted to start a diary too this year  Hope all is well and that Sparky is behaving himself? Take care matey, hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well I have sorted my bedroom for now, but I am going to get Mr Budgie to decorate it, well its theraputic as he needs to keep his mind occupied. There is also the en-suite and the kitchen. Well thats enough for one week is it not;)
Clearing your clutter gets you focused and clears the mind.

Work tomorrow which I, as I am sure alot of us are not looking forward too, hey ho it pays the bills. To sort my budget further I have cancelled sky and I am also cancelling the gym. I intend to walk much more and devote more time to Mr Budgie. I have really trimmed down my DD's to the point there is not much more I can trim

When you have a low income I have learnt that you must reduce your outgoings where ever possible. I have become very Mse over the past year and a half. Long may it continue.

Ok pootling off now hope everyone is well and enjoying the last bit of the weekend?
    Take care and stay lucky

Volunteering is a lovely idea! How about the Samaritans? Or become a Special Constable?

Hi and welcome to Intergalactic F,

I have previously thought of the Samaritins, but I wonder if I would be able to switch off afterwards? I do get a little emotional at times. If anyone is lurking and can offer any advice it would be most appreciated.

I have just signed up with Plusnet at £5.99 per month for broadband for when my Sky ends, I have also been through Quidco so very mse me thinks :D

All in all a positive start to putting my house and life into order :D

Onwards and upwards as they say.

    Hugs Budgie xxxxxxxxxxxx

Samaratins can be quite heavy oing & most people only did it for a limited amout of time though some had done it for many years.

    Thanks for that Beanie,

I shall see what is available and look at where I can make the most impact. I really like to get into things and I like people being treated fairly. If not then Budgie gets the bit between her teeth so to speak ;)

Still there is alot to research, and I feel with volunteering that it must be something that you care about and want to make a difference.

Hopefully I shall receive a reply from the email I sent yesterday.

Hope you have a good week mate?

    Hugs and take care

Hello to me, myself and I :rotfl:

Just thought I would do a quick entry, feeling in a very good mood today. I have just come across a volunteering opportunity which is for elderly and vulnerable people in our area.

Its a phonelink line that is manned 365 days a year, offering help and support to people in need in our local area.

I have sent them a email and am now waiting for a reply. I really feel I could contribute to this very worthwhile cause.

So Budgie is quite excited and I shall see what happens?

Nothing much else to report really, weather is bad here, I hope it doesn't snow again

Hope everyone else is ok and feeling positive?

    Big hugs

    Hello again ;)

Well nightmare of a day weather wise here, managed to get to work but then had to walk home, took 2 hours but at least I am home and in the warm.

Hope everyone else has been safe today?

Re: the volunteering I had an email asking me to call the helpline, managed to ring as I was home early but there was no one there to take my call

I have left a message and sent another email. Quite troubled as it is for vulnerable people and if they are ringing and then no one can get back to them until the day after  that seems to be a cause for concern.

Though I guess it may be down to the weather. I will see how it all pans out.

So I hope you are all well and taking extra care?

    Hugs
    Budgie xxxxxxxxx
