Good speakers for a Laptop - no "normal" stereo.

I do not have a stereo at home at all, and dont really want one, but I do want to listen to my music which is all on my Sansa or Laptop.

Can anyone recommend good priced , great speakers that I can plug into the lappy or Sansa that gives me good, loud, clear, fantastic sound??

i could recommend some "good priced" £2k speakers if you want, good for the money that is but i highly doubt that is your budget.

£2k is probably a bit more than I wanted to spend. LOL!

When I meant good priced, I meant stingyly cheap. I have a minnow budget of around £100.

I recently got an i-pig to listen to music from my i-phone, but it had a cable that would allow music to be played from laptop...they are about 40 quid

I bought these for my daughter for Xmas, excellent speakers as i'm going to have to superglue the volume control down low to hear the tv...........;)

I own a pair and wouldn't think twice about buying another if these ever fail (bought them some time ago). Just read the reveiws...

I've got one of these - not only can you dock your iPod, but you can use the 3.5mm cable to plug it into your laptop/mp3/tv/anything that emmits sound (well, almost!). Really nice, rich, bassy surround sound. Comes with a remote to adjust bass/treble/volume/change track (if you're docking an iPod). Couldn't recommend them more - for that price!

Don't discount the likes of Asda. Bought a decent sounding 2.1 set with remote control there for £15. Maybe 25 watts RMS or more. Now using a more powerful set I bought abroad for £12.

I don't like the Asda ones. 25 watts RMS or perhaps more would be ideal .
