Sorry to hear I would be livid.

From threads I've read before I think the advice is ask to speak to a more senior officer in the first instance. If that doesn't work let them know you will be contacting the Police Complaints Commission.

I'm sure if he ended up in hospital the police would automatically be informed and forced to investigate. This should be no different. It seems they are more concerned about crimes solved statistics than doing their job.

Really an ambulance should have been called at the scene and possibly a head and chest xray performed I suspect. Any wrist pain? It is quite easy to think a fractured scaphoid is a sprained wrist and it goes untreated.

I'd maybe see a doctor anyway.

not very technical, but i "thank" everyone for their fab posts - which is also handy for keeping my place! i also bookmark (in firefox) whatever page i have read last so that i can get back there quickly. no doubt there is a more logical way to do this, but works for me! xx ttb

Aww, they're both quite ingenius ideas!! thank-you for that. I'll shall give it a go happy days, I love reading that chat on here, so it'll make it much easier now :T xx
