How will the new registration change in Sept 2010?

I know it's a bit of a while off yet but just wondering what will be the New reg setup in September?

Will it be 50 plate or something?:confused:

    would it not be a 60 plate, 50 plates hev been done havent they,

    In March it will be 10, and in September it will change to 60.

    Next year, 2011, we will have 11 and 61 respectively.

    Why didn't they start at 10 in the first place instead of 50 when they brought out the new system back in 2001?

    Because it was year 01 (2001) not 10 (2010).

    In 2001, it started in September with 51.
    If they had started earlier in the year, it would have been 01 from March to Sept.

    They certainly did not start with 50 as you suggest. 50 will be used in 2050.
