    Still find it strange that one Barclays user had a standing order appear on statement dated 1 Jan and some not

    Precisely why I said there's something not right about the post ..... it can't be an external SO if it activated 1st Jan.
    If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
  • Just one more thing to check - was it set up with a final payment date??
    If so you may have to re set it up again.

    Oh yes I see now, I misunderstood before. Yes both mine are external, the other poster must of had an internal.

    Good point - I've just double checked and no end dates, all set to run until further notice.

    Nothing showing on my statement today. I am sure it normally does but I shall wait to check tomorrow.
