How do i stop sky+ remote controlling sky HD box?

We have just had sky Hd fitted and now have sky+ as our multi room but we also have 2 magic eyes, one in my sons room and one in our bedroom and we are able to watch either sky hd or sky+ in either bedroom but we have just noticed that our sky+ remote also controls the HD box!! How can i stop this from happening?
It is only doing it from the magic eyes, if we are in the room with the sky+ box then it doesn't control Hd.
I hope someone can help and hope this all makes sense?!!
Thanks.

No, Sky HD in main room and Sky+ in another room downstairs, then a magic eye in son's bedroom and another magic eye in our bedroom both bedrooms upstairs.

    You cant.
IIRC,the Sky+ stuff is the same in both normal + & HD boxes,so the remotes need to be the same in order to operate the record ect.
We bought this up on my HD course & that was what Sky told us.

Really?! That's a pain!!! Do you know if we can perhaps use another remote That would let us change the channels over from upstairs without changing the HD channels, not too bothered about watching recorded programmes upstairs or rewinding etc but i can't have my son in bed changing sky+ and then suddenly changing the programme i was watching. That sort of defeats the object of why we bought the eyes!!! Most annoying.

They've since modified this, Theoretically a sky+ remote will only control a sky+ box and a HD controller a HD box. they run on slightly different frequencies, HOWEVER you can reprogram a remote to run on one of the other frequencies (v4+ of skyHD remote I know you can) to control standard/+/hd boxes etc.

Sorry it seems Im following you round, I really am not :P
  • This device allows control of any combination of digiboxes with allocated remotes to each
