Lloyds TSB December interest not showing yet

Today I was paid £19.99 for £7k in one account. I made my £1000 transfer on 2 Dec and have changed it now to 6 of the month to see if it makes a difference. For all but one day (when I transferred £1k back and forth to a new Halifax Reward account for the first time and got £5 for my trouble) I had £7k+ in my everyday Vantage account so got a little bit more interest (£20.52).Interest paid - £20.51 for 7K0 -
These odd "penny" differences are interesting - remember an earlier thread didcussion.savetilibleed wrote: »Today I was paid £19.99 for £7k in one account. I have 1 account that I "use" - however all ins and outs throughout the month (mostly at weekends) - have been dated for the following Monday and appear to have maintained the end of day balance at 7K including the New Year stuff as discussed.
The other 6 accounts were untouched. All have the same interest which was (£20.51) - 1p less than you for your £7K - Why?
Maybe u left your interest lurking for a few days - mine is out the day it appears.

interest was paid for December for 34 days, 31 for Dec plus 3 to take it up to 3rd Jan. At 3.93% for £7k this comes to £20.5006, so presumably they round up. Or the gross % could be slightly higher, I believe they only need to show it to 2 decimal places.0

Think I was a little unclear in my post above, which you answered. These odd "penny" differences are interesting - remember an earlier thread didcussion.

The £7k is in the account I don't 'use', for which I was paid £19.99 today. The interest paid on 1 Dec was £17.49 which was transferred out to the other 'everyday' account on 2 Dec. As I mentioned above, the £20.52 today is for the 'everyday' account which had a balance of more than £7k most of the month apart from one day when it was £6664 for the Halifax transfer. Even though I sent the £1k back to Vantage the same day it was not actually back until the next day.
I wish I could get another account, but I'm not sure how it would pan out if I asked (which whould have to be at a branch).0 -
Go for it - I opened all mine in branch & was completely open about just using them as savings accounts. -no problem.savetilibleed wrote: »I wish I could get another account, but I'm not sure how it would pan out if I asked (which whould have to be at a branch).0
