Off topic slightly....but I'm looking for a lovely quality leather hand/shoulder bag, I'm not fussed about Radley ones and wondered if anyone can recommend any good brands.

Coccinelle do lovely bags, stocked at JL and HoF, and often come up in sales. Mine is around five years old and still looks brand new.
    Gone ... or have I?

It depends on your price range really. I like Ri2K, Oushka, Osprey, and I have a couple from Debenhams (Collection) which are fairly good quality.

You should have a look at the bags they sell in TK Maxx, either instore or online. I got an Oushka bag for £29 in their clearance which would have been £165 from Oushka when it came out!

Well, it does say reduced to clear so maybe they are getting rid of some stock that other places are keeping.
    Good find.

I quite like this, but only 2 left.
    How many do you need?

TKMaxx occasionally have these in reduced down to around £50, though if you do buy one check that the little keychain is on them as they are often stolen instore.

I have only one Radley which my mum bought me for my 30th B'day and I love it. As long as you look after it, it will last for ever. I am on the lookout for a Radley buttons one but i missed out as they did have them on the John Lewis website on sale

Don't know if this is the right one, but there's one in Debenham's in the sale:

Radley aftercare is brilliant as well. My 6 month old £220 bag came unstitched on the handle. Radley immediately offered me a replacement, but the bag had been purchased for me by my Dad just before he died so it had massive sentimental value.

Radley took the bag and had it specially repaired so i was able to keep the original one. All done in 2 weeks.
    Brilliant.

    Have you checked Radley's website?

They have a 40% off sale and there are three different Buttons bags in their sale

Medium Shoulder Bag - Red or Purple - £90 reduced to £54 59481.jpg?thumbnail=jpg&width=350&height=350

    To luvvlyjubbly

Each to their own, but yesterday I bought a Clarkes handbag (I love their shoes) and got a 30% reduction on the bag and it wasn't in the sale and it wasn't reduced. Staff member just did me a deal ! :j I bought a pair of sale shoes 50% sale & happened to mention it was a nice bag, and they gave me 30% off the bag too.

I like their quality , but each to their own.

Jasper Conran bags are also good value.

I was looking at a Mulberry bag today. I REALLY, REALLY want it. I can -just- afford it. However, I just couldn't bring myself to pay either £250 for the small version or £350 for the large one.
I did go back 3 times to look at it though.
