Thank you everyone! Not doing anything special, need to go to Tesco for my euros and some last bits for my holiday, then when I get back I might open a bottle of bubbles I've got and chill out. Not ready for the holiday yet, I need to get a bag for it, I'm going to look at tesco and asda this afternoon then if I don't see anything I'll brave primark tomorrow first thing.

Buffy, really sorry to hear about your problems with your mum.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Phew, it has just taken me two hours to take all the decorations down and get the room back to normal!

Just going through our cards and a bit of a random question here, but does anyone else think it is weird that the card my Dad bought us (daughter and myself) is to a 'special couple'. Usually he gets us a separate daughter and grandaughter ones, but this one he has just signed from Dad and then put Grandad in brackets.

He would probably be really upset if he knew we found it weird, but like my daughter said, we are not a couple, we are mother and daughter!!

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

    Afternoon Spud.

How are you? Did you make a decision on the diet/excess food thing. I have the same problem, we were going to start our new diet on Monday, but still have so much stuff left, not sure we will get it all eaten tonight and tomorrow - will have a good try though!

    Hello folks,

I was thinking, cos we also have lots of chocolate and nuts certainly

diet today - scrambled egg on toast, mid morning snack of after eights and brazil nuts, plus pink smarties.

    lunch - oxtail soup

Anyway back to the point perhaps keep a food diary for this week, in the long run it may help us work out our weak moments? when we "need" a snack, chocolate etc?

that way we don't waste food which none of us can afford and we may learn something about our eating habits?
