    Thanks, it seems I can buy duty free in the airport because it's past security, although it probably wont be open when I'm coming back. Oh well, at least it makes the trip a bit cheaper!

    you can buy the alcohol in duty free, no problem. Just stick it in the overhead locker when you get on the plane. They have you over a barrel really because if (for instance) you want bottled water you have to buy it in duty free because you can't take it through on your hand luggage and water's never cheap :rolleyes:

    BB, that's what I thought, the water thing's terrible. At least this time though it's an EU thing, not just a stupid Ryanair being !!!!!! thing! Also just realised I need a ziplock bag, I'll pick one up in town on the way to setting off, unless I need to go to Asda tomorrow. This flying lark's a right faff!
