Thanks guys, I knew my handbag had to go in my hand luggage, but didn't know about the no liquid thing, that's pants. By duty free do you mean on the plane or in the airport?

I did consider wearing my old (too big) coat and sewing big pockets to the inside to carry a couple of books!

*goes to re read Ryanair's guidelines in case there's anything else I've missed*
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Lil miss c - I had Pint moaning cos I wouldn't give him any - well he stank of beer, and I'm not having that. He smells nice, he gets it. I only said I was having a shower, and his little eyes lit up, and I couldn't refuse him. And it's like riding a bike, you'll NEVER forget

Buying duty free on the plane shouldn;'t be a problem, however buying duty free from the airport in the UK is probably going to follow the same route as buying it from JFK.

When you buy duty free, you show the shop assistant your boarding card and they wisk it away and are reunited with it when you board the plane!

    Please come back LMSM.

You can take liquids as long as they are less than 100mls

    Ryanair Hand Luggage policy . . .

EU/EEA cabin baggage security restrictions require that passenger cabin baggage containing any liquids, gels, pastes, lotions or liquid cosmetics MUST be presented at the airport passenger security point in a transparent re-sealable bag of no more than one litre capacity (e.g. 20cm x 20cm ziplock freezer bag). Only gels, pastes, lotions and liquid cosmetics in containers of 100mls or less will be permitted through the passenger security screening points at all EU/EEA Airports, please note there is a limit of one transparent resealable plastic bag per person
  • I tried to return a t-shirt I bought just before Christmas as it didn't suit me. I have no receipt but usually, this isn't a problem.
The CSA said the t-shirt was soiled and then went on to imply I wore the shirt.

I told them they shouldn't sell soiled clothes and pointed out the tags were still on.

She shrugged and said she wouldnt take it back as it has several marks on it (barely noticeable otherwise I wouldnt have bought it).
I was very embarrassed and upset at being treated that way, I just left the store :(

    I haven't worn the t-shirt but obviously I can't prove it :(:(
