i find for me the best place is the dining table. i can lay everything out and i've got a very large space to work on. and i'm vey lcuky that the dining room is seperate so if i have to leave my project out on table over ngiht, i can shut the door and it doesn't get touched.

i find for jewellery making at the mo, i do quite like to sink in the corner of my sofa and get comfy and just create.

Hubby has a den which has his train layout in, but he is thinking of building a big shed/workshop thingy in garden so he can expend. if he does i'll get his little room. which is about 8ft by 8ft, so very tiny, but would be fab for me.

I have just re organised my craft shed I have so much stuff and it was a nightmare packing everything up I am on week two now and hopefully get it finished today I sold the huge ikea expedit and replaced it with antonious drawers so that i can get more worksurfaces will try and post pics later once its decent lol[/QUOTE

I'm just about to start rejigging mine as i want more worktop space . I too have two huge expedits which i outgrew ages ago. I must have over 1,000 unmounted stamps and loads of wood mounted ones too. Not to mention all the boxes of card and spools of ribbon and embellishments. :rotfl:

I'll have to look at those drawers as i'll need something . I had a look at the really useful box units etc at storage4crafts but my poor oh nearly had a heart attack.

If you need a nosey, storage ideas or serious room envy then look here

I'll give you all a laugh tomorrow and post pics of my seriously overcrowded badly in need of a deep clean and tidy up space .

here's what it looked like 2 years ago but i changed everything just after those pics as i had even more stuff to store.

Here's what it looked like a few weeks later when the new expedits went in. lol. It's even worse now and even more stuff.

I don't have a craft room anymore, but when I did, hubs put worktop round the room and some kitchen cupboards over it. Sadly it was stolen by my children for their living room but the cupboards are still on the walls and are very useful.

So far I have stripped half the wallpaper off the room and I am still undecided about colours!

Any more inspirations pics about? I am almost finished the wall paper stripping and now I have to plan the layout of the room and the colours I am going to use.
