Joey, with all respect, if your parents have been with Virgin for years and you feel they are getting ripped off why dont you cancel? Dont cowtow down to the sales person - CANCEL. Alternativelygive us a rundown of the bill and lets see if we can see whats wrong. Virgin are generally very competitive. I am quite suprised that your parents are getting stuck for so much unless there is something very very wrong.

I cancelled today !! Was quite painful but they finally gave in and said it would be stopped from 1 Feb

Now I need to sort out a BT line with unlimited calls all day (£18 i think), o2 broadband (£10 i think) and then do something about the international calls...

Does voipdiscount do an unlimited international plan?? I could not find that - Also are there any other international packages that offer unlimited international phone??

Good move. No the voipdiscount does not have unlimited plan, but a very generous allowance of 300mins free per week for landline call (check the website for the country list).

If their going to take the BT inclusive plan with 24/7 geographical calls. Utility Broker has already pointed out how to get free no subscription,no account needed Landline calls to USA and France via a geographical access number.

The calls are not strictly Free as you have to purchase credit to get them.;)

I have anytime talk with virgin, plus very quick internet and a large tv package. I have been with them for about 10 years and I am only paying £65.00 per month.

Your parents are being terribly ripped off. Make sure you talk to Virgin about the cancellation fee as I have just started a thread on this. My SIL has been charged £85.00 after giving a months notice on an 11 year old contract.
