I was just starting to wonder where you were too. Well done on doing all the mystery shopping. At least you are finding an outlet for the anxst.

The new stuff will all be lovely when it is in so stop worrying about it. It will all balance out soon enough. That must be a nice little earner when it comes in. Why shouldn't you have some nice stuff back from all the effort.

Hope it all feels a bit easier soon.

Glad to see you back posting, TPA :)

I'm sorry things haven't been great for you, my Dad is in poor health so I can understand the worry about your Mum :( Having your house 'invaded' by workmen must be really stressful as well. I know what you mean about your house being your 'sanctuary', but it's only temporary, just over a week & the house will be yours again. And Hubby's. And superior cat's. And 'in the doghouse' dog's. Have I missed anyone out?! :rotfl:

Well done on all the MS, you should treat yourself to something nice (just for you) as it sounds like you've been working your socks off!! :D

Awwww sorry about your dear mum hug.gif

and you're not in the slightest bit unusual about the way you feel about having your kitchen in chaos.... I have had friends crying their eyes out while undergoing a new kitchen. It seems to create muck and dust everywhere and you're right there is no where to relax too - and when you come home from a hard days work, it feels like there is even more work to do. Very tiring.....

...hopefully it will be worth it in the end:)

I have joined ESA, seem to have had loads from them in the last two weeks..don't expect it to last though as they seem to have a blanket rule that you cannot cover the same place in a six month period! I am propably just having beginers luck with them at the moment:rotfl:GFK have a huge glut of car test drives, a bit further afield then I normally travel (50 mile round trip) but I have bagged 6 on the same road, so worth the travel.

Thank you everyone for your support, it means a lot to me :o

I have got a week off soon, so will use that to get the house back in order and do lots of batch cooking in my new kitchen:D

I am having a more positive day today, thanks to you lot:o:kisses3:

Glad you're feeling chipper TPA, hope your mum is too.

Totally sympathise about kitchen - is like Groundhog Day in my house - come home every day to find workmen still there :o. Still progress is being made - I now have freezer & fridge freezer & chairs in living room and table, washing machine & tumble drier in garden - covered by new shed panels :). Looks like Calais refugee camp - am expecting to come home & find some Kosovans have moved in . Still, all that is done is lovely :). I'm looking forward to batch cooking as well (and washing!)

    Are you driving posh cars?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Good news, the table and chairs DO fit:j.

Have done my photographic mystery shops, had to take close up photos of some shop fronts, left the house at 7.30am to ensure I got them all done before the workers were in (felt self concious enough doing it when they were shut, no way I could stand outside when they were occupied:eek:) Husband thought I might get arrested:rotfl:. Anyway they are all uploaded now, so fingers crossed I did them correctly.

I've got two other mystery shops to do today, all helps with the kitchen costs.

I am having great problems trying to get a trained person to fit the cooker:mad:

I hope everyones having a good day, the weather is miserable here.

  • Good news at last! Cooker man coming tomorrow evening:j. Work tops should be fitted Friday and we can finally get our house back in order:D.

I still haven't updated the finances, but I know its not looking good:o.

I have promised myself and hubby that I will not do any mystery shops next weekend and will instead use my time to put everything back in order in the kitchen...now hand sup who thinks I can stick to this:p. I must, I must........

SF is finally home, I forgot how many things he pinches....todays count so far: One bra from the washing pile, one screw driver, one marker pen (I swear the cat knocked this on the floor to get him into trouble) a hanger, carboard box, enpty plastic bag and roll of toliet paper, hmm perhaps my mum would like him back;)

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
