    Still off, still can't walk faster than a tortoise and can't do stairs. See the consultant surgeon on Thursday.

    Scratch that, this week is about making some cards and finishing off the wedding book. Sewing will just have to wait.

    ok so I'm off uni now for 3 weeks and have looooads to do!! I am working two days this week and then off to Alton Towers on weds!! Can't wait! (We got those free tickets with the sun!! :D £2.50 for both of us!) and lots and lots of other bits and bobs to do but I think I'll go with the theme here;

    "this week is mainly about sewing for college, cleaning my car, finishing 2 lab reports and writing my literature review" Sound ok?

    Think i will be joining you on that one! Havent made any cards in ages and i like to have a little stash put away. I'm only going to be working 20 hours this week as there are no extra hours available - will be wierd as although my contracted hours are only 20 hours a week, i mostly work full time.

    Anyway going to take the opportunity this week to get some things organised and look at some extra money making ideas.

    Hope you manage to get the wedding book finished Dinah!!

    Tink - im very jealous about you going to Alton Towers. I love it there, havent been in ages though, mainly because everyone i know is too scared to go on any big rides!

    I'm good TPA! How are you? Hope you're feeling a bit better :) The break in Dublin sounds good!

    Dinah - Pretty busy week planned, thats good about people being interested in your cards though! Good idea about making a box for you Mum to take to work, might get a couple extra sales that way.

    Wendz - The holiday sounds lovely! OH has decided for our 2nd holiday this year we're going camping, so guess who's collecting the 95p camping coupons this week? *rolly eyes*

    Yeah it is near Sharm I think, the hotel is called the Royal Albatross Moderna. You will have to give me some tips Dinah, never been to Egypt before.

    Where are you going to go camping Cinny?

    Egypt is easy so long as you go prepared, the culture is pretty different and I did have a hard time because of that (especially that NIM had to do almost all the talking, shopkeepers would approach me all the time trying to flog me tat, then move onto NIM to get money and a decision, while many hotel staff and restaurant staff would only address him not me). Rules are easy there don't drink the tap water EVER not even ice or raw fruit or veggies which will have been washed in this, despite this you very likely will get a funny tummy (we got through 3 packs of immodium in 2 weeks!) so take tablets with you just in case, take grapefruit oil (available from healthfood shops) and put a few drops in all your drinks, it effectively steralises the glass and also helps your tummy fight off bugs, there are a LOT of mozzies so take one of those plug in things that you get from Boots for your room and then Avon skin so soft oil spray is actually the best thing for putting on your body when you're out even better than actual mozzie stuff, tell the men you're married otherwise you'll never get any peace (especially hotel staff who deal with you every day - its worth taking a fake ring!), expect to haggle for everything and don't settle for more than half their first price, always pay at the hotel in full when you order things, never let them put it on a tab for you or a bill behind the desk - oddly you never spent anywhere close to what you think you did, always agree the price of a taxi before getting in, don't expect to drink much (its a muslim country, a bottle of beer was the equivalent of £9 when we were there last April) and if you do want to drink a lot then upgrade to all inclusive before you go as hotel prices can be even higher than this, you're a long way out of sharm but try to go down a few nights as the atmosphere is fab and a beduin taxi should be less than a tenner each way - the Egyptian restaurant on the roof of the Hard Rock cafe is brilliant with great views, and there is a lovely Italian on the central strip next door to Pasha, try to go on the Ras el Mohammad boat trip - the reefs are amazing snorkelling and we just had a fantastic relaxing day on this beautiful, glamourous boat with fantastic local food and seeing the costline, and read trip advisor for your hotel thoroughly before you leave as you get lots of usful info on how things work there as it can vary a lot between hotels.
