Well done NIM, that is fabulous news!

Birdie - glad you managed to find a dress you already had, that saves some money!

I had a brill morning at GMTV and met Kate Garaway, Ben Shephard and Lorraine Kelly.Got my pic taken sat on the sofa with her so when my work colleague has uploaded will show you. We got to sit on the loose women stools as well. We watched all of Lorraine Kelly get filmed from behind the camera and Olivia Newton John was on so a proper celeb day. Then they did a lush breakfast with fruit, cooked breakfast etc and bucks fizz overlooking London. I do love my job sometimes!

Wow, I'm jealous at your day! I know you've probably mentioned this more than once but what's your job?

Wowzer Wendz! Super jealous of your day too, all I did was sit in an Office and spin slightly in my chair (slightly, as I didn't want to over excite myself) Can't wait to see the pics :D

Well done on the review Birdie, will keep my fingers crossed they put the product up before Wednesdee.

I work in Tv advertising so I choose what programmes to advertise in etc. Is a good job with some great perks.

Hope they have the product up for you to review soon Birdie.

Oooh check me front paging it! Lara's on there now!

The only reason I'll go to meetings is for the free food. Once I went all the way down to Marston Gate (Bedford) for a rubbish training day and I was gutted because the food was rubbish. But luckily there was chocolate cake to make up for it! We used to get doughnuts if we managed 60 days without anyone accidentally running over their own foot or chopping off a limb or otherwise hurting themselves but they've stopped it as part of the cut-backs. :(
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Well bit of a money update... we've paid off the credit card! This was because a savings account matured, so we paid it off using some of that, and put the rest into a terrible rate instant access saver until we know what we're doing. I feel like a real weight has been lifted to know we're in the black again. I still have the £1000 interest free overdraft, but thats not a prority right now.

We currently save £1400 a month, which will go up to £1500 in April. So that's £8900 already and we have a bit already in therere, meaning all other things excluded we would hit our wedding target with room to spare. AND we've already paid off the survey costs for the house. Unknown other costs we may/will need to find are:
Conveyancing: £680 (could pay for with the spare from the wedding)
Stamp duty: £1560 (£1209 short based on what is currently in or waiting to go into savings, we can make this in extra income by the time of the wedding no hassle)
Morgage costs until we move in: £3400 (bit more hassle tbh!) This is assuming a May completion, anything after this would be pure savings, anything before this would be pure stress!

    Optional extras:
    £2000 decorating
£4000 build and redo the bathroom
    £1000 student overdraft.

Ignoring the optional extras (and assuming we get the full deposit off NIMs dad, of which there is still no word, NIM called him last night and he said he would call to discuss it sometime this week) I think this is doable, it's about £20 per day we need to make, but I think we've got it in us to get there.

I'm feeling a lot more positive today, this will probably all come tumbling down since the whole house purchase is a house of cards, but lets keep our fingers crossed! x
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off

Great news about paying the credit card off Dinah and glad to hear that you are feeling a lot more positive about money aswell! I hope you hear something from NIMs dad really soon - surely he must realise how anxious you are about the whole situation?!
