    Well done NIM!!!

Lulu - bit of a freudian slip in your post :D

CMD - the new house is *fab* it's so nice not to have to share. It is much more spacious than we thought as we have far less furniture that the previous owners! The door is now open to the world of home improvements. We have re-done 1 room so far, OH's office. It looks lovely. He has got some special paint that makes the wall into a whiteboard he wants to put on next week  Think he is becoming a DIY geek

Aw bless him, he should do something to celebrate before knuckling down though!

Lara, missed your post before, glad you're enjoying the house - can't believe you've done a room already - how efficient are you?!

What a sweetie your OH is Lulu - I won't suggest that he's sick of you looking like Worzel Gummidge :p

Cheek! :D Thats how i feel it feels! Na we are going out for my sisters birthday next week, but i was feeling all down about it, so he offered. I think its because he badly wants a night out and i was being negative about it!

    Well done NIM!!

Your new house sounds lovely Lara! Impressed you've got a room done already. I've been in my house for almost 10 years and my Dad still hasn't done the study or bathroom he's been promising to since we moved in! :o

Well done NIM! When does he start?

I'm so impressed that you're DIYing already Lara, we've been in our flat over a year now and the walls are still all the standard off-white they were when we moved in! Neither of us are big DIYers TBH so I can see it staying that way for a long time! I really want to decorate our bedroom but I want a new chest of drawers and a shelving unit and I don't want to go to the effort of making the walls look lovely if we're just going to put ugly furniture back in! So it looks like we'll be having plain white walls for another year as there's no way we're going to be buying bedroom furniture this year!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
