Shopping went okay today, got everything ticked off my list. But the sales lady in Boots talked me into buying Hugo Orange - which admittedly smells lovely so I won't complain. Got a free bag too, which I've put my driving stuff into so I just have one small(ish) bag to grab when I go for my lesson instead of carting my saddle bag around filled with all sorts of junk

I'm following too. Dinah what your sewing teacher said about patterns doesn't make any sense to me and I make all my own clothes. I buy the pattern in my size (very sadly 18) and make small adjustments to make it fit properly.

On a separate matter, if you haven't bought a veil yet they are easy to make and are a huge saving on the cost in a shop.

Thanks for that Tootallulah, its reassuring to know I'm not cracking up with the dress that is many sizes too big, I was starting to think I'd read the tape wrong somewhere or something.

Hmmm might have to look into the veil thing (if my mum will let me!), especially as I've found it hard to find the type I want.

Dinah - About the dress sizes I think that's just for when you're buying older patterns?? I think that's what my Mum told me once anyways!

Driving lesson went really well today, did roundabouts and traffic lights for the first time! Drove me and mum shopping after my lesson too which was weird! She sempt alright until I started singing 'bat out of hell' and driving quicker.
