Well I found something No7 in me boots discounted, it cost 3 pounds, went up with me voucher and they wouldnt let me use it, said I had to spend at least the fivers worth, I asked if I could just get the item and the 2 pound left over in a gift card since i didnt use it all up but they refused!

That's because it excludes price reduced lines, it does work on items that are less than £5, we put through the exfoliating sponge through all the time and its only £3.50, you dont get change though, which is stated on the back of the voucher.

as for the GWP, last time the small print stated one per transaction and i think it will be the same this time.

    Hi

I need a Xmas gift for my sis in law but about two years ago she opened it in front if me and said "this can go straight back" :'( so... I don't really want to spend £22 in case the same happens. Would this free gift suit a sister in law?. She is about 34 :) Thanks

She sounds a nightmare, rude and ungrateful. I'd be tempted not to bother again, but I guess you have to. Perhaps you need to think what would SHE like rather than whether you would like something, if you are very different. I think often people want to get good deals, for example by using points or 342 that they decide that they have to find something that will do for everyone in Boots (or wherever), when in reality the present isn't really what you would buy the person if not tied to that shop.

Regarding the free gift, I'm sure it is suitable for many 34 year old women but depends on the person, they may prefer to use a particular brand or not be interested in make-up etc. I personally would never give a free gift to someone else because they may well know it was free (a lot of people shop in Boots), and I wouldn't want to be given something that was given to the other person for free whilst they were buying their make-up. I think it is OK to give the GWP if the purchase was for them as well, however in that case I would probably keep it for myself as a reward for clever shopping!

sorry the thread is too long for me to catch up.

are you still on No7 vouchers being given out on £5 spend, and when do they expire (are these snowies)?

or have we moved on to a new voucher now and what are we calling them please?

    Cheers

It's the same voucher Claire, I think there is a small crossover period (Wed til Sun?) when the gwp is out and the £5 voucher still valid (although no longer given out with purchases).

The new voucher comes out on Wednesday, but you can still use the current £5 off No 7 until next Sunday. I don't think these ever had a name, but as they were mauve, you could call them Mauvies, if you wish!

Thanks for the feedback on the illuminated mirror. DD already has a a pedestal mirrow which takes up less space than the electrical one so the reason for looking at the illumated one was the illumination feature which sounds to be a bit of a dissappointment. I've got a £5 off electrical somewhere but I missed out on the latest £5 No7 voucher. If I find my £5 off electrical and see what other conditional spend coupons I have I might get it as you've said if it's cheap enough it's worth a try. Thanks

Don't know yet. Can any Boots workers help please?

I've managed to get myself confused. Are boots still giving the No7 vouchers? I thought I'd read that they'd finished but if new vouchers start next week that would mean that the No7 ones are still being given out. TIA

yes, the voucher is still being given out, but will stop on Wednesday, when there is a new voucher.
