    You are right actually!.

My boots is not far, and very small, so i just stood there for about 10 minutes deciding what i should get from the small choice they had!.

I did think it was nice, or i'd just have came home and not bothered :)

Not everyone shops in boots though, and i onlt knew about the gwp because i go the boots xmas giude and was having a look through, but i see what you mean. She is kinda sweet after you get to know her

She may read this  :o.

To Sandra Scarlett, i dont have any No7 vouchers. I thought you all where talking abotu the online NO7 voucher.

I see its still valid, £5 off a £15 spend, code is NSSF49 and it expires i think on the 6th november, which would co inside with the no& and the free gift you get. So im unsure what you all can make up out of that, as im not good with maths, but im sure there will be bargains with that code? :)

I may, just buy some small gifts from Boots, and leave the No7 gwp to you lot, as i'd feel guilty giving it as a pressie, and i'd be spending more then i wanted to on No7 anyway :)

Shall keep my eye on the Boots threads anyway in case i decide to get it :)

And yes, a new Boots thread would be better, as i couldnt believe they closed the last one, as it was well used :)

    :A

She sounds a nightmare, rude and ungrateful. I'd be tempted not to bother again, but I guess you have to. Perhaps you need to think what would SHE like rather than whether you would like something, if you are very different. I think often people want to get good deals, for example by using points or 342 that they decide that they have to find something that will do for everyone in Boots (or wherever), when in reality the present isn't really what you would buy the person if not tied to that shop.

Regarding the free gift, I'm sure it is suitable for many 34 year old women but depends on the person, they may prefer to use a particular brand or not be interested in make-up etc. I personally would never give a free gift to someone else because they may well know it was free (a lot of people shop in Boots), and I wouldn't want to be given something that was given to the other person for free whilst they were buying their make-up. I think it is OK to give the GWP if the purchase was for them as well, however in that case I would probably keep it for myself as a reward for clever shopping!

The illuminated mirror has been reduced again yesterday and it's now £12.49....QUOTE]

What a bargain! That means you could get a mirror and 2 x GWPs for £12.49, and as the GWPs will hopefully have 250 points each, the mirror costs, in Boots logic, £7.49!!!! :j:j:j:j:j

Oh don't tell me i've missed out on something else as well as paying double for it.....The person we bought it for on behalf of them won't be impressed..... :(
  • I wonder if this is just store specific? It might be that the store NEH bought it from is just one of a handful that have reduced it. But I know that all the electrical range are in the same boxes that have been used for quite a few years, so perhaps they're changing the packaging, and have several large warehouses, full of the mirrors?

Well as i said i bought it at the Xmas evening and then 2 days later it was half price again, wish they had a price promise like everywhere else...Normally i would jsut sya these thigns happen but when there is less than 48 hours difference it's a bit much...:(

It's showing as £20.99 on the website, so a different price again....

Maybe up here in the wilds of Scotalnd we have got a mass of mirrors...it was like that with the M and S Christmas puddings a couple of weeks ago. People all over the UK were saying their store had run out, well that's because they were all here in the very north of Scotland! :rotfl:

Unfortunately boots.com is run slightly differently to Boots, as a separate entity and sometimes their prices do not reflect the prices in Boots store. Good when they are cheaper than the store and in stock.
  • Do you think the £5 off electrical would still work on the mirror even when it's reduced to that much? Now that would be a bargain!

I don't see why not!:T £2.49 for the mirror, instead of 50 quid is a bonanza of a bargain!

I am sitting here in stunned disbelief and seriously considering a dash to the Trafford Centre!! Does this mean that you could get a mirror and 2 x GWPs and hand over a purple £5 off No 7 and the mailing voucher for £5 off wys £30 on electricals?! If that is the case, then you'd get the thing for £2.49... (and the points vouchers too...)

Edit: I am not the only one with this idea!!!

Has anyone else seen the mirrors at this reduced price please?
