Just got back from the gym, where I amazed myself that I can still jog 5km (well, stay on the treadmill until 5km has been covered without falling over!) My new technique is to ignore times/speeds/targets and just go to the bloomin' gym - I figure that any exercise is better than none and that I should just ease myself in and relax a bit more
A bit quiet on the MSE front - looking forward to getting paid on Tuesday... OH2B got her first wage and she's very happy - off to looking at wedding dresses in a designer sale tomorrow.0 -

Argh - nervousness abounds!
I have been offered an interview for a part-time job at a local university library that I applied for to help supplement my income in the run up to the wedding/mortgage. It's not too taxing (averages out at 5.5 hours week on Saturday/Sunday), but I haven't had an actual interview for two years or so
Not the most glamorous job ever, but I'll give it a real shot as it gives me another string to my work experience bow, another £120 a month for savings and another option should I decide to reduce my hours in my main job.0 -

Go for it! And don't worry about the interview: I bet you could do the jobs with your eyes shut, and it will be self-evident from your interview. And let's face it - it you don't break your duck now, you'll just feel even more nervous when a job interview for a full-time job you REALLY want comes up, and the consequences would be much more severe. Please call me 'Pickle'

I'm lactose intolerant, so probably not the best person to ask
This beast looks nice, but probably a bit dear for everyday use...0 -

Oh dear to the lactose intolerance, and thanks for the link. I've been having a little look at a lot of diffferent types, and the choice is bewildering. I think some of them are very expensive for everyday use, as you say. Ah well. Will keep searching.
And now I can't even offer you a virtual ice-cream for your help as you can't eat it, even virtually! Please call me 'Pickle'
