Glad you are ok if a little doggy occupied.... I think the good dog owner thing is to walk a dog twice a day at least, SBT and Labs have so much energy. My little jack russell used to walk a good 3-4miles a day and at least one 6mile walk on a weekend.

Forgot something very important - I have reached £50 on YouGov
I was helped along by a 2000 point win in a draw though.
I last claimed in August so it is good going.
I will keep track to see when I reach 2000 so I know when I would have really reached £50.
I am doing all the surveys they send me (at the detriment of all the others as I just don't have time to do it all)0 -

As she is still young we are not quite ready for a 6 mile walk but I am so itching to get going. We are surrounded by lovely walks and even before we got a dog would walk for miles at weekends so having dog is even better. At weekends she is having her usual 2 walks and then at lunchtime we are taking her up to our sheep field (no sheep yet this year) and letting her run off the lead while we get her used to recall etc all in the safety of a fully fenced field.
This was me at Mr EE:rotfl:
The problem is he just doesn't think - he gets carried away with buying things and forgets he does not have much money once he has paid the bills.
He also mentioned that he thinks I have loads of money saved up which I am hiding from him - the logic for this is that his truck needed a new battery, he said he would order it on payday and I agreed. Then a few hours later it dawned on me that he has a car repair savings account so we could buy it at any time and so we ordered it .
He thinks I did it on purpose but I genuinely forgot - we have spent so many years waiting to buy things we need on payday that I forgot we have money for these things mid month.
Too be fair I do have some money saved up but it is all in different pots for different things and will only be used for the designated cause. I won't tell him what I have in total as he will want to spend it all:cool:
I have been taking my Agnus Castus religiously and it all just washes over me (well once I have mentioned it to him in a calm fashion!!) and I refuse to get stressed by it.0 -
Hi EE,
Just catching up with your diary. Sounds like you have a lot on at the moment with your new doggy friend, work and OH. I'm with you on the savings pots and I keep the totals a secret from OH but only because it would be another excuse to sit in front of the TV (if he needed one that is).
Anyway, just glad that things seem to be relatively calm for you at the moment.
Take care

Wow EE a dog! Sounds adorable but yes it must be a lot of work, I'm too lazy to be a responsible dog owner so just cats for now. Maybe I'll get a dog when I grow up.
Sorry to hear about Mr EE, some people just don't seem to "get" it with spending. My DH gets carried away when he gets into a new hobby and there are things he "needs" to buy. I think it's just too easy to click a button and the stuff turns up at the door. All the delivery men in a 10 mile radius know me now due to all the stuff DH has been ordering since we moved in. Can you tell DH has a new hobby again? In the process of reigning him in yet again.

18. Cleared out plastic boxes/lids - why do we always lose the boxes and end up with all lids??
Have another bag waiting to go to charity with books and clothes in but will list when they leave the house (Monday hopefully).
I know I am behind on my aim of 1 a day but obviously the bags of books contain about 10-15 books.
Am still reading the Kondo book and am just about to read the chapter on clothes and then I need to start on my underwear drawer - this Kondo lark must be sinking in because I had some vouchers to use and spent the money wisely on some underwear and some new tops which I love.
At the moment my underwear drawer is overflowing and each time I open the drawer I hate what I see - the new underwear is sitting patiently waiting to be put in a drawer.
Is anyone else Kondoing?0 -
Have failed miserably with the PADs in January - we have spent a lot on the animals when there wasn't enough in the pot (dog has been vaccinated and microchipped plus we have signed up to a pet plan plus we brought a few months worth of chicken feed). Normally I would just suck it up but I have made a note and will be paying myself back. The pot has just been topped up for this month but my rescue kitten (the one we found on our field) is being spayed next week as the other new cat/kitten which came with the dog is male and is showing an interest in her. Not sure how much that will cost but it's got to be done.
Have started PADing since I was paid on Thurs so hopefully when the statement comes around 10th I will be able to clear it still by end of March.
Monthly shopping was interesting and we still have some bits left from the big shop I did at the end of Jan like pasta/squash etc.
The freezers are quite bare so I am pleased with what I ordered and how we managed - definitely need more butter and bread in the order.
Was going to do a monthly shop to be delivered Sunday but had an email from Sains with an offer that if you spend £100 on home delivery 3 times in March you get a voucher in April for £50 off a £100 spend. As we spend over £300 every month on food this seems like a good way to get money off so will be placing an order today.
Only concern is that delivery in my area is £6.95 regardless of when you have shopping delivered and what you spend so I will buy a 3mth delivery pass voucher for £20 and I will able to cover the delivery charge for 3mths.
Also had an email from Morrisons with an offer of spending £40 by 9/3 and then getting a voucher for 4000 points when you spend another £40 later in the month.
So I will be popping there today for some essentials like toilet roll, washing powder before the Sains delivery and sticking to £40.0 -
Sorry had to submit before I finished as DH came home.
We had our anniversary earlier in the week - that passed like a damp squib and any other day except DH got me a necklace so I had to quickly order some bits of Amazon which arrived today!!
This was mentioned on Alice's thread but just also noting it here.
However we did have a nice Indian:rotfl:
It is DH's birthday next week so he wants Indian again and he is prepared to be ill so he can have a normal curry with onions in - he avoids them due to IBS like symptoms but for his birthday he is craving a proper curry!!
He has just peeved me off again by announcing that Sky will be coming today - he has ordered multi-room for £5pm for DS' room
The logic behind this is that when DS' girlfriend comes round sometimes when we walk the dog they come downstairs and watch a movie (even though they could watch it in DS' room). DH gets the hump and goes to bed as he wants the TV. So now they can both watch sky
My car bill came in at £136 which I didn't think was too bad, this was MOT and lights etc and also the day after I collected my car it wouldn't start so garage came out and fitted a new battery - bless them they did not charge any call out like they should - Imy garage
Still not claimed for pot hole but will set myself a reminder to do next week - I have the photos on an email but just need to scan the repair bill.
Also decided to sell some bits on ebay - I do the postal survey for RM and get paid in stamps and also get presentation stamps a few times a year. I am not a stamp collector so not too bothered about them - the sets sell for just over £6 on ebay so I think I will do some BIN's and I can post for free using the stamps I have from doing the survey - win, win!!
Will also put on some clothes which I got off ebay that are too long - hopefully will get some money back.
Just off to check my Halifax c/c to see what I owe and then will report back0
