Hi Northern Las
Thanks for taking the time to post, I will have a read of Jo's Diner - maybe she is also married to my OH!!!

Well I have had a very good day money wise, loads of bargains.
I needed a weekend bag for the hen weekend, found a lovely one in Debenhams reduced from £50 to £16 - paid with a gift voucher (worth £25, I Paid £20)
Then I needed a present for a party DD has on Sunday so went to Claire's Accesories and found some necklaces and rings reduced. All sale items on 3 for 2 so also got some rings for DD and her friend who is coming to the party tomorrow. I'm not doing proper party bags cos it is not really a party. Then I went to Wilko and found some lovely car books which I have got for the 2 boys who are coming to the party.
I have also ordered the food shopping for the month online, I am fed up of shopping in the supermarket on my days off with all of us adding things to the trolley - it soon mounts up so hopefully this will help us save some money.

Have had a great day with DD at her little cinema shindig!!
Worked out quite expensive in the end but she had a good time.
Brought sweets and cake from Tesco = £7.48
Had to pay £10 to park for 4 hours (took 2 cars).
Then cinema was £33.60 (luckily had £30 in vouchers)
Drinks/popcorn were £16.70 (took in sweets for kids)
Food was £39.70 (got 20% discount as voucher on website)
Ok so maybe it was not as expensive as a proper party.
Just got home from cinema and shopping arrived, he was 1 hour early and said he would go again if we were not ready :rotfl:
I feel so calm and relaxed knowing the cupboards are full and we have not had to go to a supermarket. Online took me 1 hour but now that I have ordered once, I know what I am doing and items will be saved in my favourites so next time it will be even quicker.
Got some auditing work to do tomorrow so need to go to bed early as need to leave early.

Well I tried to post yesterday but lost my long post and then did not have time to retype.
This week has been rather eventful so far....
Early hours of Monday morning OH woke up with an awful pain behind his eyes which had in tears (very unlike him). Nearly called an ambulance but then deicded that would not work with the kids needing to go to school but OH wanting me with him as he thought he might die.
Kids up early, taken to friends ready to catch bus while we headed to A & E, looked in his eyes could not see anything but did put painkillers in which took some of the pain away but OH could still not look at the light.
Given appt for the afternoon for eye clinic so came home and then went back. OH has keratitis which is inflammation of the cornea (it does have a special name but I can't post it as there is not much on the subject on google so I am worried my diary will come up on a search engine)
So he has been prescribed drops which are special order from eye hospital in London
OH was sitting round the house in my sunglasses (black and pink) as his were not dark enough. Luckily Tesco had some out (rather dusty though) so we managed to get him a pair for £3.
Managed to collect one lot of drops yesterday and hoping the other one will be in today.
OH obviously not at work and neither am I as he cannot drive and had doctor's yesterday (booked before the eye thing happened).
Have to go back to eye clinic next week to see what is happening.
Today I have to take DS to doctor's as he has been complaining for some time that his back hurt, I thought it was growing pains but he has a very distinct lump next to his spine which is very painful and makes sitting on school chairs very difficult.
Obviously google is not my friend as all it mentions is childhood cancer etc so now I am worried sick :(

Away from google!0 -
Sorry to hear that you're having it rough at the moment.
Hope you find out what's wrong with DS soon and you're right google is not your friend.0 -
Eeek thats one carp day. Hopefully OHs eyes will get better before he has chance to drive you nuts and equally hope that DS's lump turns out to be a pus filled subcutaneous zit or something equally trivial.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
