Economic Model - With Cows:
SOCIALISM: You have 2 cows, and you give one to your neighbour.
COMMUNISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and gives you some milk.
FASCISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and sells you some milk.
NAZISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and shoots you.
BUREAUCRATISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then throws the milk away...
TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull. Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows. You sell them and retire on the income.
SURREALISM: You have two giraffes. The government requires you to take harmonica lessons.
AMERICAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows. Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has dropped dead.
ENRON VENTURE CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a
debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows. The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company. The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more. Sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States, leaving you with nine cows. No balance sheet provided with the release. The public buys your bull.
FRENCH CORPORATION: You have two cows. You go on strike, organise a riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows.
JAPANESE CORPORATION: You have two cows. You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk. You then create a clever cow cartoon image called 'Cowkimon' and market it worldwide.
GERMAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You re-engineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves.
ITALIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows, but you don't know where they are. You decide to have lunch.
RUSSIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You count them and learn you have five cows. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. You count them again and learn you have 2 cows. You stop counting cows because you’re sobering up and open another bottle of vodka.
SWISS CORPORATION: You have 5,000 cows. None of them belong to you. You charge the owners for storing them.
CHINA CORPORATION: You have two cows. You have 300 people milking them. You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine productivity, and arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.
INDIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You worship them.
BRITISH CORPORATION: You have two cows. Both are mad.
IRAQI CORPORATION: Everyone thinks you have lots of cows. You tell them that you have none.
No-one believes you, so they bomb the **** out of you and invade your country. You still have no cows, but at least now you are part of a Democracy....
AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. Business seems pretty good. You close the office and go for a few beers.
WELSH CORPORATION: You have two cows. The one on the left looks very attractive.@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -

Morning all!
I'm up early today in Fresian Towers, so am fully planning on returning to bed at some point for another nap
I had a lovely night with KissJenn on Thursday, we had a quick dinner in the local pub, which was very tasty and I introduced her to the Ben & Jerrys Core Sundaes at the movies (Also very tasty!) Sadly we decided to watch The Bounty Hunter which is a god-awful movie. Don't get me wrong, I love a good romcom but this was just dirge. Thankfully I'm planning on seeing Green Zone this weekend which looks like a much better proposition! I've now seen eight films with my Unlimited card this year, since mid-January, which works out at £60 given the online ticket price now shows as £7.50 per ticket (!!!!!) I think I'm getting the value for money from it at the moment :A
I had a bumper post day yesterday as the vouchers from DedicatedDFW arrived (Thanks petal!) and I shall be trying to combine these with the £7 off a £50 spend I have for Tesco when I go tomorrow. I'm aiming for £50 of good with a spend of less than £35, so I'll let you know how that goes! I also received my Cineworld tickets from the offer in the newsletter a while ago, so will be dragging Mr Fresian (or, given his reluctance to see the house, KissJenn) to the pictures soon!
I had an email this morning saying I have won a book in a competition so I'm pleased about that. It looks like quite an old cookbook, but it might do for someones Christmas.
I'm now up to 35,035 with Toluna, thanks to a couple of longer surveys and some content popularity points. I'm planning on spending an hour or so on there today once I've done all my MSE comps. I also need to run out at some point and buy the Daily Record as they're doing LEGO token collects again and this will be either my brothers Christmas or for one of my nephews.
Right, competitions call! Have a good day all

I'm now up to 35,625 with Toluna, it's quite a slog at times, but when I'm in the mood the points fly in!
I'm about to head out to the supermarket with my friend, she's picking me up in half an hour. I have had a long pampering shower, and smell like a Soap and Glory display, and am in the process of plucking up the courage to brush my hair. When you have hair this long it's a right pain in the erris to brush, no matter how much conditioner you apply to it!
Plans today include doing some of the washing (It's getting out of control) and going to the movies. Fun times!

Now the delights of the core sundae are known...me, me, me pleeeze.
Second FF's comments on the Bounty Hunter. Romcoms aren't meant to be brain food but this wasn't even a turkey swizzler of nutrition. Gerard Butler looked like he hated her and someone was standing off-camera with a gun to his dog's head, nothing else could explain WHY???
And what's more frightening was the trailers looked like more of the same drivel...no rom, sure as hell no com and scripts that make High School Musical look like Shakespeare.
And relax...did I mention core sundae's are really good...(unattractive slobbering warning).:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Also, I need to try and have a look to see what we can do on our holidays in and around the York area that is either free or pretty low cost. Anyone know any good websites? I think it's mellyb who is from York, any ideas you could throw our way?0
