Oooh yes, I forgot you were coming down to Ye Olde York! The weather isn't too bad at the moment actually, the sun is out and it's a little bit chilly but at least the snow has finally gone!0 -
fantastic news about bonus
you deserve it!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Mr Fresian has been heroically unwell, which has lead to much washing of sheets (urgh...sweaty) and minimal funtimes this weekend. I have been to the shops today to provide him with soothing sweeties, paracetemol and tissues.
The expedition to the shops did yield:
1. 49p brocolli
2. Ald! concealer pen (Not needed, bad Fresian...)
3. 10 eggs for 99p
4. Stardrops :j I had never seen it before and had to buy it. Hopefully it is as wonderful as everyone on OS says it is. Does anyone know if the version that comes in the spray bottle can be used on ovens?
Tomorrow I go to the supermarket and then the cinema, hurrah! Must remember not to buy too much fridge stuff as the fridge is jampacked thanks to the Biggest Chicken Of All Time (God bless you, M&S Mothers Day Deal) and the tastiest looking cheesecake. Woo! Sunday Dinner Fun tomorrow

Not long awake following a well-needed afternoon nap...
Mr Fresian's sister is making us venison stew (Her bf's parents give them quite a lot of Donald Russell meat so she can often offer tasty food) and tomorrow I'm going to make the M&S chicken for dinner.
My brother rang me today to tell me that both him and my dad have underactive thyroids and that I need a bloodtest. Is this likely to be a family thing? What would it mean for the average person? I dislike googling medical conditions as I always fear the worse and end up thinking I have some kind of brain cancer....all information gratefully received lest I turn to google...

From the little I know about this condition (and I ain't a medically qualified person) it means one of your hormones is out of whack. It sort of slows your body's functions down - bit like hibernating all the time. Totally treatable, but it can take a while to get the dosage correct.0 -
Dinner sounds lush.
I bought some bread for 12p last week! Now that is MSE. Our local supermercado doesn't seem to have much in the way of woopsies but I do try and I do buy own brand as seems daft to spend on brands when OB bits and pieces work just as well.
Great news on the bonus! All adds up doesnt it.
Saturday night TV is R.U.B.B.I.S.H. I am tempted to hit the hay early as those lovely fresh sheets are a-calling.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

My lunch at work yesterday cost 7.5p as it was soup I had bought when it was whoopsied to 15p, so I had half at work and Mr Fresian had half at home.
I would be very worthy had I not then bought some Tangy Cheese Doritos from the vending machine. Oops...0 -
hi FF i have an underactive thyroid and yes i does tend to run in families, if you have been feeling v tierd, head feeling like mush, putting on weight, dry skin, thinning hair or feeling v cold, then these are all symptoms. They can diagnose it with a simple blood test and you'll take a couple of thyroxine pills for the rest of time. (the good thing in england not sure about scotland is that these and any other prescriptions you should ever require will now be free)
As i'm preggers i have to be closly monitored by an obstretrion (sp) to avoid any complications.
Any ques dont hestitate to ask.0
