    Had to get dogs a bed today, as madam dog has been eating my sofa:mad::mad:Anyway had enough nectar points to cover it, so went to Argos and the scanner thing wasn't working, so I had to pay in real money:eek::eek::eek:Will hopefully recoup the money by spending them another time:D:D

    Well today I spent £11.75 in Morrisons, first shop in a week so that was quite good. For this I got:

    Full PricePeppers @ £1.59 (Big Value bag, to be frozen)
    Jam @ 89p (For Mr Fresian)
    Toothpaste @ £1
    Toothbrush @ £1.40
    Rockys @ 49p each (Two packs, again for Mr Fresian)
    Milk @ £1
    Marge @ £1.20
    Bananas @ 51p

    Items in purple were on some kind of offer

    Whoopsied

    Cheese 85p/£1.72
    Honey roast ham 15p/£1.89
    Turkey 15p/£1.89
    Cod x 2 99p each/£1.89 each
    Bread 5p/£1.14

    So, not bad then! According to the spreadsheet, I spent £3.18 on whoopsies which were worth £10.42, so that's very pleasing! I know I'm not meant to be filling the freezer, but the chunky cod is really nice and can be cooked from frozen, making it a good meal for when I'm in a hurry/really tired.

    Not a lot else to report really, another Ebay sale paid up today, so that's more pennies. Many plans being made to decorate the blessed spare room. I think it's going to wipe out my PADs for this month, but hopefully that will be the end of it!

    Money post:

    Spends = £13.25 (Cheques waiting to clear, will transfer to PAD account)
    PAD = £82.51
    Groceries = £158.25
    Entertainment = £14.05

    Purse = £20 (I'm doing a challenge against the Wonderful DFW Hypno to see who can make £20 last the longest for personal spends. I suspect I won't win!)

    There are 22 days until payday and 27 days until the end of the month (For frugal challenge purposes)

    I'm still waiting for 2 payments from Ebay, and currently enjoying watching one of the cats dreaming (He appears to be chasing things in his sleep!)

    Morning all!

    Quick copy and paste from the frugal thread firstly...

    The non-frugal news is that I am decorating my spare room. My plan was to make this as cost-neutral as I could, and I have managed to save the following since the start of the year:

    Overtime = £141
    Council Tax non-payment = £122
    Expenses = £18.80
    Ebay/Amazon/Quidco = £154.05

    This makes a total of £435.85, so if I can do the decorating for less than this I will be pleased. I need to repaper, recarpet and get some furniture, but I'm planning on getting the wardrobe and chest of drawers from Gumtree if possible and getting a divan bed with storage for myself and Mr Fresian, then putting our bed in the spare room.

    Although this is a lot of expense, it will be offset that Mr Fresian's sister will be giving us £300 per month rent while she lives here, which will entirely go towards my debts.

    ***

    I'm quite thrilled that I have saved almost £500 in January from various sources, gutted it's to go to decorating the room, but that's better than spending on a credit card! I plan to start searching Gumtree in earnest next week as that's when my dad will be down with his massive estate car, and we can then take acres of stuff to the landfill/recycling, which I've been wanting to do for ages!

    One of the jobs for this week is to wrap up all of the Christmas presents I've bought (I know!!) and send them Up North with my mum so that I'm not wasting space here. I've filled nearly the whole chest of drawers with things for Christmas and birthdays, so it's a bit of a pain that I have to empty it out again :rotfl:

    No other news here apart from that it's snowing again. Yeesh :snow_laug
