    Clubcard points - You get 1 point for every £4 you spend on the credit card. I just got a phone which gave me 2000 points which is the same as £20 in vouchers. If you exchange this for Clubcard deals on their website, this is the same as £80 in deals :D As far as I understand, you order the deals using the code shown on your voucher, and they send you something in the post. I haven't done it before. I'm going to use mine for meals and days out I think.

    I have downloaded my payslip and am getting £1301.63 as my net pay this month. I said I was taking this from base pay of £1060 but it should have been £1160 :o so my first PAD from payday will be my overtime - £141.63 :D I'm also going to be able to pay the £122 from my council tax non-payment!

    Wow, well done on these payments you are going to make.

    I never ever spend my clubcard vouchers in store - I always save them and convert - we have RAC membership every year courtesy of Tesco, Bella Italia vouchers, OH had a lovely watch from Goldsmiths and we had a w/e away in a beautiful MacDonald Hotel, all courtesy of Tesco. It is really easy to convert, like you say, you can do it on line, just choose your deal, pop in your basket and then put in the on line codes from your vouchers and the deals voucher usually arrives within the week. Only thing is, with the hotel vouchers, I had £100 in Tesco vouchers (we spend waaayyy too much in Tesco?!) and i converted to £400 of hotel vouchers, but they came in 2 x £200 ones which was not so handy, as if the hotel only cost, say £340 then you would loose the £60 change, so I just used one £200 and topped up with cash to the hotel and now I have the other £200 to use up. I must actually see when the expiry date is for it. Next time I'd just order in smaller amounts, a little at a time if you know what I mean! Sorry for the long post - it wasn't meant to be! Hope you enjoying Sound of Music

    Morning all!

    A massive list of things to do from me today including:

    • [strike]print off payslip [/strike]
    • [strike]Remember to take home my lovely shoes from work to wear tonight[/strike]
    • Close my Barclaycard as the incompetant muppets still haven't managed to do it NOT DONE. Took half hour lunch and left work early so no time!!
    • [strike]Email Scottish Power to confirm what tariff I'm on [/strike]
    • [strike]Post Mr Fresian's admission of guilt[/strike]
    • Email Tesco as I have lost a £4.50 Clubcard voucher and want to use it for our little holiday in York NOT DONE! Going to search for it tomorrow after work and call them if it's still lost.
    [strike]I'm also having my friend round for dinner[/strike]

    [strike]package up my shopping returns in the vague hope that the courier turns up today.[/strike]

    I'm watching Day 7 from 24 & thinking of you ;)

    Of course, if it wasn't you that said pre-Christmas about liking 24 this is now a really silly post :o

    I love 24 - well remembered!! Whenever a new series comes out Mr Fresian enjoys 2-3 days of blissful peace and quiet as I [strike]lust over Keifer Sutherland[/strike] enjoy the quality drama :A

    We had a lovely time thank you!! I like to keep busy when I have the inclination. I can be prone to occasional depression (always fun) so if I keep busy when I'm feeling ok I feel less bad about duvet/couch days. Work hasn't been helping with this recently tbh, but I seem to be ploughing the yucky feelings into cleaning, which is a first :D

    Many threads (and some farming!) to catch up on before bed. Night all!

    Money

    Spends = £20
    PAD = £5
    Groceries = £Zero
    Entertainment = £5.10

    Purse = £13

    There are 2 days until payday!

    Ebay

    19 items listed
    4 have bids on them
    11 have watchers, 9 of them have multiple watchers

    I plan to package up the items I know will sell either today or tomorrow, to minimise the amount of wrapping I'm doing on Sunday.

    I don't have a lot of exciting plans for today apart from cancelling my Barclaycard. Hopefully I get someone on the phone who believes me this time! It means there will be £1,000 less available credit on my file.

    I suspect that I have nothing in the fridge that I can use for lunch. I might have to risk one of the really old cans of soup that's been hiding in the cupboard :eek: I'm going to be very impressed with myself if I can go for the whole of January without buying lunch once :D

    I tried to get online for the Boots sale this morning, but the website has collapsed under the weight of 1,000,000 MSE peeps, so I'm going to nip over at lunchtime. I'm going to check my Christmas spreadsheet this morning though - if it's not needed I'm not buying it :A

    Happy hump day all!

    The Boots website is still down - I'm dreading what the shop will be like!

    It's my mum's birthday on Saturday so I may have to see what Money Saving Products I can purchase for her!

    Yeah that's a nice one, my fave was Ardoe House in Aberdeen but Mr MacDonald gave it away when he sold some of his other hotels as the buyer wouldn't stump up the cash until he agreed to let them have it. It was Mr MacDonald's first hotel so he was really gutted to let it go apparently.

    Flyin' I'm not too sure if you took the hint the other day but the earrings I was eyeing up are yours ;)
